go to an orthotdontist they fix crooked teeth and overbites and stuff but you wont get them the first tme you go in there i got them the 5th time after all the molds and x-rays but when you do go here is what they do

Yes. Braces are very painfull but don't be scared or anything just you should tell your teachers you wont be there the next few days because you should take advil for the pain and the advil make you very dizzy and fatiuged.

The process of metal braces.

They invite you in to the dental chair and the the dental higenist comes in and cleans whatever teeth are getting braced with a sandy gritty paste to remove and clean your teeth before the braces application.

The weird part... They put a lip seperator in your mouth so it the smelly glue doesn't touch your lips.

Then the orthodontist comes in to start putting on the braces
they put glue on the metal bracket and place it on the tooth then he does this for every tooth ... then he uses this L.E.D blue light to dry the glue and permenently fix the brackets to your teeth this device looks like a mini hairdryer they may ask you to wear orange glasses or put a orange plate in front of you eyes ...

Now the fun part... the wire and elsatics you get to pick what colour you want in the braces for 3 weeks like any color combos that you think of have fun with it

Hope your not in too much pain -

lucy

I know, I know the thought of it...............BUT think of the wonderful result. Both of my childrten/grandchildren have had years of braces, adjusting them and so on. If you are at school, it means time off to go to the dentist (good thing) and if you are an adult, it means time off from work. Yippee !!!! The results are astoundingly good. GO FOR IT !!!!!! Good luck.

Ask your dentist if you have a crossbite. He can answer all your questions about treatment.
