We only use one nostril at once, one always seems blocked whereas the other is always clear. I think they swap over and it sounds like yours don't. Nose drilling sounds quite horrific for a solution. Try breathing gently in and out of your nose with your hand closing your right nostril, so you can only use the left. Try repeating this with your hand over your left only using your right nostril, the key to this is gently. If it doesn't start to clear don't worry, just breathe normally through both, (no passing out aloud).

I hope you do find a solution that works for you, i'm not a medical expert so I can't tell you what is or isn't wrong.

Sounds like a deviated septum,it's in the upper part of your nose. I had surgery to repair mine, along with scarring from chronic sinus infections. It was the single best thing I have done for myself. I can breathe much better, I have improved by 90% and I had the surgery in 1991. I cannot remember the last time I had a headache, and I used to suffer with them almost daily.

Maybe you have whats known as Deviated Septum...
Normally the septum lies centrally, and thus the nasal passages are symmetrical, frequently caused by impact trauma, such as a blow to the face, it can cause congenital disorder, see a Ears Nose and Throat Doctor, they will confirm...

Have you broken your nose before? Your bone may be blocking your air passage through your nose you might want to go get it checked with the doctor because lack of oxygen can lead to more severe problems

It could be the cartilage at the top of the bridge of your nose that needs straightening out
