Vegetarian & Vegan - September 2007

I am trying to cut down on fat and "bad" cholesterol but I LOVE BLT's. I was wondering what are the best kinds of vegetarian bacon?

So far I tried smart bacon and it was gross.

Any brands other brands to try?

And how long have you been a vegetarian or vegan?

A vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat meat no matter how small the amount or frequency. Eating meat every once in a while is still eating meat. Fish is meat.

A vegan is someone who abstains from meat and meat by products such as milk and cheese and does not wear fur or leather.

personally im against it 100% its tacky, way expensive, and lets face it, unless your a friggin rabbit, it looks better on the animals. and if you realy like the look of it, get faux fur, its cheaper and like the real thing? wat do u think

I'm launching a new line of food products for vegans and vegetarians. It's name is going to be Certified Raw Agricultural Produce or "C.R.A.P.".

I figure that when people say vegans and vegetarians eat "crap", they can say with pride, "Why yes I do and we are willing to pay big money for it."

Help! I've tried making tofu taste good so many times, but I can't get it right! I've been a vegetarian for 4 years and I feel like a poser because I can't cook tofu and every always asks me to make a tofu dish for potlucks. Any ideas on how to make tofu taste better?

Hi guys,

I have a medical condition which needs me to eat a dish of vegetable salads (lettuce, in large quantity) per a day.

And, I find it most comfortable eating right before sleep, but I have to ask you first, will eating salads (with no dressing) right before going to sleep at night make me fat?

until new years day 2008 (I eat about 2 packages of hot dogs a week, a bruger every other day and I go through a small package of chicken about once a week)

please do not give me the junk about meat being bad for my health, I know all about the colestorol and other problems, I also know of the cancers that are caused by the hormones found in soy, so it is a toss up on the health side for me, the real issue is taste and making my car payment

it has been about a month that i have been vegetarian. i feel like i always eat the same thing. i am a mexican american. if i eat anymore cheese enchiladas, bean and cheese tacos, and nachos im going to go crazy!!!!!!!!!! plus bbq is everywhere i go... it is being stuffed down my face practically! any suggestions on places in HOUSTON or what I can eat????

Okay so I found out that all the toothpaste in my house is tested on animals which I find horrible. Does anyone know of any brand of toothpaste that isn't tested on animals? And could you be so kind to list a price, store or place I can get it in Canada? Thanks in advance.
