Was it for
health reasons(self explanitory)
animal creulty reasons(self explanitory)
money reasons(veggies are cheaper than meat)
taste reasons(don't like the taste)
or other?
And how long have you been a vegetarian or vegan?
A vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat meat no matter how small the amount or frequency. Eating meat every once in a while is still eating meat. Fish is meat.
A vegan is someone who abstains from meat and meat by products such as milk and cheese and does not wear fur or leather.

After I turned 30, my body started having trouble digesting meat. One day, I decided that I really didn't want to eat meat anymore and that I would try vegetarianism. I read some books, found out about the horrors of dairy and eggs, and decided to go vegan a few months later.
I've since taken an animal rights and environmental approach to my veganism. And I prefer to point out how many delicious foods there are to eat.
That was in January 2002.

Anyone that's a Vegetarian or a Vegan is a Smart Joe (means goody goody) If I call someone Smart Joe it's a compliment. Yet sometimes some take it the wrong way! Well I'm a vegetarian not yet vegan. But very close to being a vegan. Vegan milk drinks are more expensive. Same for vegan bread spread it costs more than margerine! Cornstarch and a wee bit of sunflower oil can make fake eggs!
takes practice to get that right! I've made vegan cake it doesn't rise as high as regular cake but close enough..just double layer it to solve that!
I've been Vegetarian for about 10 years.. near vegetarian before that! Just recently however I broke my vegetarian habit a little cause my kitty wouldn't eat the Tuna fish I bought for her. I've discovered .. it's terrible tasting! I won't ever do that again.. so warning anyone that's been vegetarian for any long length of time won't like fish anymore. It's greasy junk! (I wasn't talking about cat food.. I was talking about tuna fish.. I ment to give my kitty a treat. Thought she'd enjoy it! I sure was wrong!) just that notation as some jerk would think me to be talking of cat food! The why for being a vegetarian don't like the sight of blood, and the price of meat oneday I walked in to a store to buy a pkg of weiners. $2.49 So I said at that price I'm going to be a vegetarian.. meat isn't all that great anyway! Smartest decision I ever did in my life!

I became vegetarian for many reasons. First of all I found out how animals were inhumanely killed in slaughter houses and human workers mistreated.
Before I was veggie I had respect and interest in vegetarianism. I had a friend who was veggie too. I thought it was cool.
I read about vegetarianism and how great it is for your body. I have never liked meat. I was forced to eat chicken and steak and fish when I was a child. I had a problem with meat that looked like meat as a child because I associated it closely with animals. I only like a few types of meat truthfully. Plus they are high in fat!
I have been veggie for nearly 2 years :)
I love animals (But I dont assume that non-veggies are cruel people either. My family eats meat and so do some friends)

Animal Cruelty, was my reason to start and is my main reason for never wanting to quit, but after I became a vegetarian I began to feel so much healthier. I am pretty new to being a vegetarian 1 month and 3 days. If anyone tries to tell me it is unhealthy, i just tell them I lost 12 pounds how much have you lost eating your burger. That always shuts them up.

I believe that animals have just of a right to live a life as humans, even more because they where here first.
Honestly, the cruelity of some people is unbelieveable.

animal cruelty reasons
mainly because of all the stuff i learned from PETA
I feel unhealthy and i have made myself think of it as dead animals that are chemically altered.... I believe that animals and humans are equal because most animals are actually as smart or smarter than is (think of a storm animals leave we stay like idiots and then stare at it on TV) Plus, most ppl have diseases from eating the animals

I am a borderline Vegetarian and why I became one is because I got really sick and I was getting gallstones and the doctor told me I could eat chicken without the skin on it and also fish, but I don't like fish.
