I'm a vegetarian, not a vegan, but I don't eat white sugar and I don't have any eggs. I haven't made any sort of bread since I stopped eating white sugar, and I'm worried it won't turn out right in the first place because of this. I'm supposed to make banana bread for a breakfast tomorrow morning and I don't really want to go shopping. So, will applesauce replace eggs in banana bread, or do have to buy eggs or egg replacer? Also, will I be better off just making it with eggs and white sugar and not eating any of it myself? Thanks.

I don't seem to see silken tofu where i live. Is it the same as extra soft or soft or something? Are there substitutions or is it just under a different name?

Most Indian vegetarians believe cheese (butter oil, mushroom, egg, prone & cheese) is a veterinarian food. Allhough they know where it comes from.

in being a vegetarian?
i was a vegan for a while and then i became a vegetarian, but does being a vegetarian really make enough of a difference?
the animals are still being tortured for their by-products and not their meat.
i know im gonna continue being a vegetarian, but i dont think it has a point because being a vegan clearly does a lot more.

thanks

Do you ever think about people in Africa? They are starving, being mutilated, innocent people are being slaughtered in civil wars, and are dying from disease. So, why would you put an animal who is being fed, never mutilated, killed only when they have lived life, and treated when they have a problem, over your fellow man?

I've been a vegetarian for more than a year and I just realized (dumb, I know) that my ballet slippers (their not pointe shoes) are made with leather. Can I still be considered a vegetarian if I keep wearing them? I'm quite serious about being a ballerina and a vegetarian. So there's my dilema. Thanks.

If you are a vegetarian and are careful about avoiding Aspartame (Nutra-Sweet) and MSG (Monosodium glutamate) but eat meat substitutes such as veggie-burgers, soymilk, tofu-dogs, soy-cheese, etc., do you ever feel an uneasy feeling of being "wired"? Possibly some short-term memory loss, insomnia, but mainly an overall feeling of having too much energy and or possibly ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)? Maybe even more severe symptoms such as migraines, seizures, learning disorders or any other neurological disorders as Parkinson's disease, Alzhiemer's disease, ALS, MS, etc.
I recently learned that excitotoxins are present in soy protein extracts and hydrolyzed protein which are often ingredients found in many of these meat substitutes. I'm very interested in seroius answers, please.

I can eat any other vegetable and be just fine. Well, almost any other vegetable. Cabbage, however, really does me in. Why does it cause so much wind?

I am a new non-meat and non-dairy and non-egg eater, and I am taking a speech class. I have to give a persuasive speech (5 minutes), and at first I was going to talk about non-animal eating in general, but I was having a difficult time fitting it into the time limit, so I decided to just speak about not consuming milk and milk products.

What are some key points I should make? I want to talk about health aspects and animal cruelty aspects -- I am mainly having trouble with the health part. Thanks!

If I do not eat a steak or chicken breast at least once a week, I become light headed. I have even blacked out a few times. I know the cow and chickens have moms and families, but I need protien suggestions. I drink 2 carb or less whey protien every day, but that is not enough. Does whey come from animals.

I'm primarily a vegan, but sometimes I do have dairy products, but not in large amounts. Yesterday at a friend's house, he made an orange milk shake, with lots of vanilla ice cream. Today I feel awful, and I'm wondering if it's possible that the milk isn't agreeing with my system since I haven't had a large quantitiy since I became vegan.
