i am doing it for my health. i will die one day, but i don't want to prematurely die of a massive heart attack or colon cancer that i could have prevented if i had made smarter food choices.
i am doing it for the animals. it took 24 years for me to realize that these animals do not deserve the cruel and untimely death that is forced upon them to satisfy our gluttonous lifestyles.
i am doing it for the world. factory farming has a negative impact on the world. more acres of rainforests are chopped down to make way for planting of the animal feed. the waste and excrement from the farms is polluting our oceans, making the ocean's water very toxic and poisoning other ocean life in the process.
more reasons? read "the food revolution" and "diet for a new america" by john robbins.

Here are some of the reasons I became and remain vegan
-I always felt bad about animals being killed or mistreated when I had other non-animal food choices
-When I really started thinking about what I was eating it really grossed me out
-I don't have to worry about high cholesterol
-I eat a more well balanced diet, because I actually pay more attension to what I eat now to ensure I'm getting all of the nutrients I need. Also, I eat a lot less junk food since it's less convienient.
-I had very bad stomache problems (digesting meat), chronic strep throat and broncitis (can be worsened by dairy) I have not had these problems since going vegan.

The idea of eating the flesh of an animal sickens me. The same is true for the smell of meat when cooking. I recently read where KFC was going to pipe the smell of fried chicken in some workplaces and shops for advertizement purposes. I was amazed that they would do such a thing. Vegetarians and vegans would leave immediately.

Some people do it for their health, some do it for animal rights reasons, some do it for environmental reasons, and many do it for some combination of the three. Are you talking about being vegan as opposed to vegetarianism or vegan as opposed to being an omnivore.
There are reasons many vegetarians decide to ditch dairy and go vegan, as dairy cows and egg-laying hens endure the worst cruelties of all animals exploited for food.

You mean besides living a healthier lifestyle? You stay younger looking as you age. Your internal organs stay healthy so you don't get diseases that doctors will charge you the cost of your home. Your skin is healthier, you have more energy, more stamina, more all around vitality and your mental processes operate at peak capacity all the time. Just some of the things that happen when you embrace a vegan lifestyle. In my opinion.

I do it for the easy women.
If you can talk them into giving up Delicious meat, think how easy it is to get them in bed.
I would like to stuff sweet stuff.
