I am not a vegan either. However, I do not eat honey. The reason for this is because the honey is made for bees to eat, not us. They get trampled on and kniied when the beekeepers get the honey. You can learn more on

under vegan candy and nonvegetarian ingredients.

No a portion of the honey is removed for human use but the hive is left with enough to survive well. No bees are killed this would be counterproductive. They are oftened hauled around to choice fields to aid in pollination and make there yield better/more tasty.
Bee keeping may well have started about the same time that man started cultivating crops and got away from the hunter gatherer thing

Well, as a vegetarian, I eat it. Vegans don't because it comes from bees, and sometimes they're treated badly.

I thought only Vegans avoided honey since it's derived from an "animal" source.
There are many vegetarians that I know that eat honey.
There are vegetarians that eat dairy and eggs so why not honey?

Most vegetarians eat honey, vegan people do not eat it. Honey is made by bees and it belongs only to them. Humans don't need honey survive or be healthy, bees do.

Veggies do ~ Vegans don't usually.

Not neccesarily, they are not harmed.... The bees are kept at a 'Bee Farm'. They take the honey and put it in these combs, as in their hive. Periodically, The large boxes are opened, and the combs are taken out and extracted their honey. No harming of the bee is committed. [:

Some Vegetarians don't eat honey because maybe they don't want to. [:

Hope this helped!
