Everybody has their own tastes. Here mine.

I like small berries only. I use more of the bitter ones because otherwise the smoothie is too sweet for me. So more of raspberries and blueberries, and no more than half a banana because it takes some of the wateriness of it away. I put as many varieties of berries I can find in the store and I've found the frozen ones smooth out better. I think freezing plant food breaks it up.

With the berries I use organic orange juice, and sometime grapefruit juice and a lemon squeezed in, being carefull not to get the seeds in there.

I'm not sure that there's a single perfect recipe. But, you can make a crazy good smoothie by following some basic smoothie making concepts. For example, balance acidic tastes (oj, etc) with calming tastes (yogurt, etc.) If you don't have a high quality blender, ice will be a huge problem. So, use frozen drink concentrate to get the frosty taste instead. Anyway, here's the basic concepts: http://www.drinkalternatives.com/10-ways-to-make-better-smoothies-than-jamba-juice/

My commonplace is ripe mango blended with freshly squeezed or juiced clementines, yet you need to apply orange juice to be lazy. purely chuck the mango, juice and a few ice right into a smoothie maker. in case you choose something variety of milky yet do no longer choose to apply milk, attempt soya milk. One banana, 250ml unsweetened soya milk, honey and a heaped spoonful of floor almonds makes an exceptionally superb breakfast smoothie. in case you have a juicer, you need to objective juicing 4 apples, 2 great sticks of celery and a million uncooked, peeled beetroot, and blitz that for the time of a smoothie maker with ice. Sounds unusual although this is attractive.

I like this recipe a lot...it's fruity and thick.
In a blender, mix 1 medium banana, 1 c frozen peaches, 6 oz low fat flavored yogurt (your choice), 2 T orange juice concentrate & 1 T toasted wheat germ.

Yummy!
