Eurgh, I just finsihed a brilliant essay talking about how supporting the extensively-farmed meat industry is not how it should be done, and now my last sentence is .."I think there are other ways this goal can be achieved without animals needing to lose thier lives," ... and I literally can't think of ANY way that we actually can help ... other than, like, protesting. Eurgh, I have to hand this is in 2 hours and then a room full of people will read it ... I want to be able to change their views, but the essay is pointless without something for that last sentence... help!

Hi, I've been a vegetarian for three months now and yesterday I bought Boce mock "meat" burgers for the first time. I just ate one and it tastes amazing, just like a real Burger!!! How do they make them taste so much like real burgers??? After I was done I actually felt like I ate real meat =( can anyone help me get through these thoughts like by telling me what goes into these meatless burgers to help me get off the thinking like I ate real meat!!!
-Thanks!!

what would you think if someone answered something with meat in it.

1. That the answer shouldn't be given in the vegers category.

2. The question doesn't say anything about vegers only.

3. Neither because it doesn't matter.

I have decided to become a vegetarian after watching some pretty gruesome videos about the animals we eat. I have taken the 30 Day Veg Pledge soon after seeing the videos. Does anyone have any tips for me? This is new to me. I can't ask anyone I know because I am now the only veggie in my family and I have no veggie friends.

Why is it that when someone says the tiniest, meaningless thing about meat, you all go off on one? Like with all the thumbs down and comments etc. etc.
I know it's not really a section to talk about meat and stuff but why do you get so worked up about it?

Could someone point me towards some good research regarding whether going vegetarian will help lower blood pressure? Or could someone share their personal experience? My blood pressure is dangerously high, and since I am starting to like meat less and less anyway, I think it would be a good option for me to maybe go all veggie. Thanks!

My husband and my son both think the world is going to come to an end if we don't have meat daily. I just eliminated poultry out my diet, and I have been pork and red meat free for a few months now. I do plan on eating fish occassionally (I love fish anyway) but certainly not every day. Are there any vegetarian meals you can suggest? Or, does anyone know of a good vegetarian/pescatarian cookbook you can recommend?

I'm a vegetarian but I'm considering becoming a vegan. I LOVE cheese, that is my biggest difficulty. I can do without other dairy and eggs.
Anyway, I was wondering, those of you that have done it gradually like me... first a vegetarian and then a vegan, when did you start feeling the difference of becoming a vegan? And what did you feel different?
Thanks!

I've noticed that the ingredients on a pack of bread say that it usually contains sugar, which is the only thing I can see that may mean it is not suitable for Vegans and there's no milk/butter etc. Can you clear this up for me?
Also, Can I add raw cane sugar to my food? This hasn't been filtered, so it should be alright shouldn't it?

Im 21 yr old guy from canada and I was thinking of permanently becoming a vegetarian cuz I wanna be closer to god, and causing pain and suffering to animals only makes me evil.. and that god doesnt like.

I won't even eat eggs, because where does eggs come from? chickens that are locked up in a cage, that's where. and if I buy eggs, I'll be a part of the cause of their misery... meaning I would have commited a sin for that.

I'm not sure about milk, I'll research on that. but meanwhile I suggest yall do the same. quit eating animals you selfish fools, you are only drawing yourself further from purity that is god the almighty

Since then I have been diagnosed with a heart condition and the cardiologist said dont eat vegetarian because they eat too many carbs and I will just put on more weight. I must admit I have put on 3 kg since I started . I think that is 6 lbs not sure.

I hate labels but I wonder how some of you would define me.
I do not eat meat and avoid consuming dairy products, eggs or honey.

However, there is leather around the house and once in a blue moon, cheese is found in dinners I have ordered (which I ended up eating). Also, some of the fake meat products I have in the refrigerator include eggs and dairy ingredients.

Again, I do not buy eggs or dairy though. Eggs disgust me and I am lactose intolerant.

I call myself a vegetarian. However, some vegetarians I have met eat fish or consume dairy and eggs.
In other words, there is a lot of flexibility in vegetarianism.
And, I think my diet is stricter than simple vegetarianism.

Maybe, I am almost vegan?

What should I do. I told him he should quit, but he refuses because he says it pays good and is a good trade to know.

Should I keep on him, or just forget it.
