rather watch a human being starve or suffer than an animal?
It seems that some vegans care more about animals than people?

I eat many non-meat products, but ONCE in a while, i do eat a little meat.

NOW, dont be all "your not a vegetarian! stop! saying! that!"

because this poor girl got a "question" made up about her and she said sorry. and everybody just gave her low thumbs, or something. it was REALLY stupid.

becasue i KNOW that there are a type of vegetarians who only eat a little meat, only in a blue moon.

so, for all you people who arent going to say that im NOT a vegetarian, what sort of vegetarian am i..?

tlike, what do you call it..?

i eat as much non-meat stuff as i can, but only ONCE in a while i have meat.

just curious. ;)

thanks..!

I was wondering if you go to Sushi restaurants. I know that that most sushi includes fish and that the sushi chefs can't always clean the mats or wash their hands before making the next batch. I know that they probably don't.
I am trying to get over my OCD that revolves around worrying endlessly about contamination from animal products and so I sometimes go eat Sushi. Not that often, but my parents take me and I know they expect me to make an effort. They ask me if I can find something to eat, but if I mentioned the fact about the actual process in making the sushi they would be disappointed. What is your opinion on eating sushi?

This is for a marketing project for school...just need answers to the following questions. Ignore the stigma that fast-food establishments have nowadays. If you are unfamiliar with In-N-Out Burger in the southwest, answer as if you were being asked the questions about your favorite restaurant.

1. How often do you eat fastfood or restaurant-prepared food per month?

2. Consider your favorite restaurant/fast food establishment. Would you try an organic veggie burger if your favorite restaurant/fast food establishment launched one?

3. Most people have a sister, uncle or friend who is vegetarian these days. How many vegetarians, or individuals with special dietary needs, do you know who you believe would try an organic veggie patty if one were offered at their favorite restaurant for $2.99?

That's it. Thanks for your help!

seriously... i dont get the rant and hate towards us, before i turned vegan, and i was a vege, no one batted a eyelid, and when i turned vegan about a year ago, i didnt bring it up alot, just politly told some people when i went out to eat etc, gradually everyone slowly found out and everyone had an issue with it, and had something negative to say... like i was devoting myself to satan or something.

i heard the whole "i could never be vegan, i like my meat too much" thing even when i dot say anything, my friend introduced me as "this is my friend, shes vegan".. like.. what the hell?

has anyone had similar experieces when they turned vegan? anyone got the standard lectures?

I just wanted to clarify for those who wonder why India's starving poor don't eat their cows. The cows are dairy cattle and the bulls are used for plowing. If everyone ate the cattle, there would be no more milk and no more grain. Producing more cattle than needed is inefficient because the feed can be used directly for humans.

And since Yahoo requires this to be a question, what did you eat today?

Do chicken lay eggs naturally or are they given hormones or something to keep them constantly laying eggs. I'm veggie and am not sure if I should stop eating eggs? If they are given something to make them lay eggs for us I'm gonna stop eating them...

Please only answer this question if you are or have been a vegetarian or if someone close to you has.

Please tell me about your/ their diet. What do you usually eat in a day? Do you eat eggs? Dairy products?

Did you loose or gain weight? How much?

What are some good ways to get protein without consuming a lot of extra fat?

Please also tell me anything else that you think I need to know before becoming a vegetarian.

And, because I know that some people are going to want to know, I`m not becoming a vegetarian because I want to loose weight. That would be great, but I don`t want to eat meat because I don`t think its necessary to kill animals when we can get protein in other ways. Its not needed anymore.

some people think that the violence committed to animals is connected to the violence a country experiences against itself, such as war and terrorism. kind of like "what ever goes around comes around."

An omnivore does not HAVE to eat both plants and animals. For those who believe humans are omnivores, that is the silliest reason to justify eating meat. A grizzly bear can live perfectly well without meat if it had unlimited access to plant protein. It probably won't because it doesn't think about ethics. If you eat meat, you stoop to the ethical reasoning ability of a grizzly bear.

I've been a vegetarian for 4 years. I personally don't give a crap about Animal rights; I'm a vegeterian for my health and well being.

I'm getting sick and tired of meat eaters bringing me down telling me vegeterian jokes that relates to the kind who are animal activist.

Whenever I bring up a vegetarian topic at school, it always lead to Animal's rights, it's driving me crazy.

So I've heard that mixing ground flax seed with water is a good egg replacement for baking. Is this true, and what are the mixing proportions?

What else replaces eggs? Specifically, how can I replace the texture and help things rise?
