I'll go ahead and answer this literally. Assuming spending the dollar was not an option I would eat the bun the hamburger came with and leave the meat.
Edit: Looking at all the thumbs down my answer got, I see it is to be taken far more seriously than I thought. So before all of the so sensible people have me pulling out my hair then I amend my answer to, pick the d*** dollar up and go buy a loaf of veggie friendly bread and eat it to my little heart's content.

Who would need to eat the dollar. You could go to the store and buy something better than a hambuger for less than a dollar.

I would eat the burger after scraping off the old shoe prints and fecal matter and chasing all the bugs away or is that more protein?? and take the dollar to micky D's and get some fries or a soda to chase it down or maybe I d buy a lottery ticket and cure hunger in the world ..COS YOU CAN'T EAT MONEY...Then I'd check spelling with the little blue help on the answers page...

if i was homeless and hadn't eaten in 5 days i would take both..it sound gross to think of eating food off the streets like a rat but if you are homeless and hungry you should make due and eat what is ediable, and then use the dollar to buy more food

i would do the sensible thing and take the dollor and buy food with it, quiete obvious really, although i live in england to it would be quiete a walk to be able to use the dollAr, but at least i wouldnt get heart disease, na di seriously dont think i could bring myself to eat meat now, i think i would be sick
