Shocker--Ashley actually has a sensible answer.

You're goign to have to read the label. I think they have a vegetarian version, but I'm not sure it's vegan.

But Amy's (www.amys.com) has vegan baked beans. And they're not made on meaty shared machinery, as they're an all-vegetarian company.

Hard to say. They Heinz also make tinned meat products. Cross-contamination may occur if they are not careful.

No, they are not. Heinz uses animal fat to flavor their baked beans. They deny it, but a lab test was performed and it was determined that animal fat was one of the ingredients.
