People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Don't be fooled by there title, they are not much more than a terrorist group. Do a little research and you will find the real deal about this group.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals

Ricky H: Ok, you don't know anything about PETA. What "terrorist" acts have they committed?

Baseball33: Thats not true either. Why do you say that they do not care about people? Is it because their primary goal, as an organization, is to help animals and not people? Well then, guess what? Going by that standard, every organization whose primary goal is something other than saving humans is anti-human. Budweiser, then, is anti-human because their goal is to maximize profits. Instead of picking on organizations that actually try to reduce the amount of suffering in the world, why don't we criticize those that do nothing to help any being? I'm guessing that, like everybody else that accuses PETA of not helping people, you don't do sh*t yourself to improve anybody's life. How much money do you give to UNICEF? I'm tempted to say that you care more about your own luxuries than about human lives. Thats even worse than what you accuse PETA of.

Ever notice that people who accuse peta of being anti-human because they do not work directly on saving humans say nothing about the countless people who work at countless other jobs that save neither humans nor animals. Its ok if you work at a restaurant or a library and not save human lives, but heaven forbid you work helping animals and not save human lives! Then you must care less about humans than you do about animals! Every moment you spend not feeding starving children in Africa or finding a cure for AIDS then becomes ammunition against you.

PETA is People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. It was founded, IIRC, in the early 1980s.

Somewhere down the line, some smart-alecks decided to form a simliar "organization" and call themselves People Eating Tasty Animals. But I ignore the meater boneheads as much as possible.
