your view on fur?

personally im against it 100% its tacky, way expensive, and lets face it, unless your a friggin rabbit, it looks better on the animals. and if you realy like the look of it, get faux fur, its cheaper and like the real thing? wat do u think

I don't mind wearing fur like trim and I think they look good on some women, but I don't like fur burgers at all.

I agree with you 100%. Fur looks the best on the animal who is wearing it. I would rather pet the fur on the animal than on a coat! I love fur though - but not on a coat or anything else that requires killing an animal for it.

I love to pet fur and I love furry things. I kind of have a fur-fetish because I just love to touch furry things - especailly my dog! I love faux fur and I think alot of it feels very nice and soft and some of the faux furs are actually prettier and softer than some real animal furs. I would buy a faux fur coat - I haven't found one I love yet. I did see a really nice purple one once - I know that sounds ugly - but you'd have to see it. It was like purple and black and shiny. It was really cool. Anyway...I love fur - but never at the cost of an animals life!

I agree 100%. People who wear fur just look trashy. It's like they are trying to give an image that they are rich when in fact it just makes them look cheap. That whole rabbit fur look going around for girls just makes them look like cheap tramps. Plus, you kill an animal and don't even use the rest of it. Come on, at least use as much of the animal as possible if you are going to kill the innocent creature. I think it's pointless and probably the worst fashion statement ever.

I would say the biggest reason is that it causes a lot of needless suffering. If you ever actually watch videos of fur farms, or of animals being trapped or killed for their fur, it is obvious that they suffer, and they are suffering merely because some people like the look. Unless it is a life or death situation, its not really justifiable to kill animals for fur.

I completely agree that fur should only be worn by its original owners-- the animals. For ppl who really like the look, there are good imitations but I'd rather wear a fun, fake animal print than anything too 'realistic.'

Nice girls fake it ;). Fur, whether it's a full-length fur coat or a bit of trim on a jacket, is cruel, cruel, cruel. Technology is such that we don't need to kill animals for their skins to keep warm anymore.

Fur and Leather and whatever other kind of 'clothing' should stay on the animal, I think.
Call me crazy, but I'm not really interested in wearing skin. :)

lol yeah it is kindof creepy sometimes. I feel like I am wearing an animal, and lets face it, I am. I LOVE leather though, so I guess that is a little hypocritical....lol

I approve of fur in very small amounts, such as trimming on the wrist of gloves, or on jackets. Otherwise, yeah, it is tacky. It never goes on purses.

I don't like it either...there is no reason to use fur over other materials either. There are plenty of things that keep you just as warm.
