I'm not a big fan of PETA; I don't like their tactics. There are far better organizations you might want to help instead, such as Compassion Over Killing or VivaUSA. But you might go to PETA's website and see what help they need.

I don't know where this person gets the idea that the Humane Society of the US is against pet guardianship. They favor *responsible* pet guardianship. They have just expanded their humane net to include farm animals and other exploited animals.

Wouldn't "How can I help Animals?" be a better question? A lot of people have no respect what so ever for PETA, so their message falls on deaf ears. It is better to find an animal rights or animal welfare group that isn't know for its extremism that suits your beliefs. Good luck.:)

You really don;t want to help PETA. They have a good idea about saving animals and everything, the only problem is, they kill more than half the animals they "rescue"
It's all right here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PETA
I'd look into any other organization like the WWF(which is called something else now I guess-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Wide_Fund_for_Nature Oh world wide fund for nature.)
I can't exactly tell you how help them, but please don't support PETA if you actually want animals to LIVE

I'm veggie and I don't join organisations. All you need to do is go veggie or vegan, then you're taking business away from the meat industry. The more people who do this, the better.

okay, well if you want to help PETA because you saw the video on www.peta2.com or summin like that where they are slottering animals, well that is ALL a huge joke, when they slice off the beak of the chickens, its for their own good, and doesnt hurt them at all!! it is so they don't peck each other to death and it is painless. and when they show the farmers kicking the chickens and pigs, DID YOU LOOK!! its all the same farm!!! and the cows and pigs being slottered, did you look at the quality of the film, it was from like 1987, hello, we are much more humane now.

Seriously, check out: www.petakillsanimals.com
I have read statements that PETA and HSUS ( Human Society of the US) wants to get rid of domesticated animals and make everyone vegetarian. Being vegetarian or vegan is a acceptable personal choice but it should not be forced on us.

If you want to help animals help YOUR LOCAL PET SHELTER, SPCA, of the Human Society (not HSUS they are different)

Well, join the street team! Go to Peta2.com and get registered for email newsletters. And start completing street team actions. You even get points for every thing you do. Also, of course, you should stop eating meat, ban companies that test their products on animals, and do not wear any thing with real clothes.
