My husband says buy them a little green and they will ripen in the fridge. I say if they are green, set them in window sill to ripen.
I would just rather buy them ripe enough to eat now!
What do you think?

I've been vegetarian for about 23 years; I don't think I've ever been annoying about it. I don't even say anything about it unless somebody asks. Among the people I know, nobody seems to make a big deal out of it anymore. I just noticed some people on Yahoo Answers are hostile to vegetarians and I wondered why. What did they do to you?

I've been thinking for a while now that I should go vegetarian. I don't eat much meat to begin with but the only problem is that I'm severly anemic. I've been taking iron pills but I don't like to, I understand that some veges are high in iron. Which ones are they? What are some pro/cons of becoming a vegetarian?

Thinks i'm not getting enough protein. She thinks that a vegetarian diet is lacking in protiens and calcium. She believes that my bones are becoming week. I know there are many people out there who are just fine. I haven't eaten meat in a month and a half. I am fine. I make sure everything i eat has protien in it and i still eat cheese occasionally. I even drink soy milk.

How can i convince my mom that this is safe and get her to stop trying to get me to eat meat?

They are going to take our beloved cartoons from the cereal boxes and stick them on vegetables. I dont not get it! Do they think the kids would eat veges just because a cartoon is on it? I mean we have always seen Bugs Bunny eat a carrot but dose that make us run out and buy them..

My son's school is having "ocean pudding" for snack on friday, but he's dairy allergic. I don't want him left out. I know how to make chocolate pudding, but I can't find a recipe for vanilla pudding. I thought he would like blue pudding (obviously vanilla pudding with blue food coloring) for their ocean theme. Does anyone have any recipes?

Thank you!

You dont need approval from some stuck up, liberal, hippie vegan to eat whatever you want. So stop asking "can i eat jell-o, is it vegan?" Just go ahead and eat whatever the hell you want!

Currently I eat everything. I love fruits, veggies, nuts, and meat. I am a animal lover but I really don't have any moral or ethical issues with being a carnivore. I guess I try not to think about the slaughter and such. Anyway, I would like to know if I feel physically and maybe emotionally better eating a diet without meat. Any insights on how long I will feel the benefits? Thanks in advance!

We try and stay out of eachothers' way and keep our opinions to ourselves, but sometimes when I am in a bad mood I can be preachy or when I cook for him he gets moody about the fact there is no meat involved in my cooking. What do you do to deal with something you are so passionate about that someone you love treats as something menial? Thanks in advance....PLEASE no snarky remarks I am just trying to get a question answered here.

I am a vegetarian. my roomate always looks at me & yells "slaughtered meat!" at first it was kinda funny now it out of control she says it all the time, at home, in public, wherever. Sometimes she leaves raw meat on top of my veggie section in the fridge. i think she is trying to sabotage me, what should i do?

or have teeth get loose? I have heard some stories on here, about vegetarians that don't get enough protein having that happen.
This has never happened to me. Do you know of a real story, or personal experience where that has happened?
