or have teeth get loose? I have heard some stories on here, about vegetarians that don't get enough protein having that happen.
This has never happened to me. Do you know of a real story, or personal experience where that has happened?

Those are from people who come in here and cut on veg*ns. Then they go and make fake profiles to try and make it look bad. Because, basically, they have no lives. It takes a really pathetic person to have so much interest in what other people are putting in their bodies. As if it even effects them.

I have too much hair. It's healthy, long and thick. And all my teeth are firmly in place.

lol...teeth and/ or hair loss? No. The most i lost was weight and i've been a vegetarian for a year and a half and i just became a vegan 6 months ago. The people that are having these horror stories arent eating right. (i still dont believe the teeth loss came from protein...i would guess calcium.) As long as your meals are varied and balanced then you are good to go.

You want waaaay more protein. This is precisely why your hair is falling out. That is first-class that you need to be a vegetarian, but you most likely must teach yourself on the area so that you're getting suitable vitamin. Get a number of books on vegetarianism so that what your body needs. Try eating things which have protein in them that aren't animal products similar to quinoa, beans, and soy.

Those stories are made up by people who like to come into the vegetarian or vegan forum to try and upset other vegans ro vegetarians and to deter people from going vegan or vegetarian. There is no such thing as hair loss or loose teeth due to vegetarian or vegan diets. Contrary to what these story tellers say our diets are not low in protien and we do not have a vitamin dificiency. As long as you eat a proper well rounded diet you should be fine in all aspects.

If someone does not get enough protein, it's certainly not because of a vegetarian diet. It may be from poor eating habits but I dont know any vegetarians that have those problems.

lol
No. That is absolutely ridiculous.

IF hair loss comes from lack of protein (this was mentioned above)... such a thing is near impossible unless you are living in some 3rd world nation, but is not likely to occur in a society with lots of money and large grocery stores, regardless of a person's choice in eating carcasses.
:)
Vegetarians get more than enough protein.

No , this isn't real, and there is a HUGE MYTH that vegetarians are lacking protein. They only thing they are in danger of lacking is Vitamin B12....Americans are full of protein, meat eaters or not!

Many people don't plan their overall diet before making a complete transition. They rapidly lose weight which is a very common reason for hair loss. It's their fault for not thinking things through all the way, not veg*nism.

I've been vegetarian for over 20 years. Still have a full head of hair and a mouth full of healthy teeth.

I've been a vegetarian my entire life, and I was born with a thick head of hair. I have more than enough, really. So no, there is no connection.
