No insults from meat eaters ? Me thinks this list was a bit too near the truth for them !

I notice the first apparent meat-eater to respond ( Joseph I ) actually asks cliche number 24.

( at this point all veggies smile to themselves at the predictable nature of meaty questions )

My dad told me I would lose all of my hair.
I responded, "So, I will look like you." (I still have most of my hair, and he is still bald.)

"You need milk for strong bones," or "Drink you milk to grow big and strong." - studies show the highest rates of osteoporosis occur in the countries that drink the most milk.
Physical excercise is the answer to having strong bones.

"It's an attempt to gain attention." "It's a fad."
18 years later I am still trying to gain attention through this fad.

Are you a ******* retard? Do vegans swallow what? Your meat yes because any vegan would happily turn cannibal to eat some moron like you. Animals are killed humanely? Lol please don't try to convince yourself that you're not a bad person that's even worse than working in a slaughterhouse have you actually seen what happens it's nothing close to humane. We may be able to eat meat but we won't die without it, another thing to those who slay vegetable eaters You will die without them. It's not just vegetarians that need supplement. If you believe the bible you really are stupid aren't you. You don't need meat for protein please research before using such bullshit "facts". Cows wont die we can still look after the ones we have we don't have to breed them unless we can treat them right. If you care about baby chickens why are you saying that'll we should eat them? At least vegetarians try to get free range eggs and those eggs are not fertilised do you need to go back to school..

The fish question rankles, as does the whole stinking protein debate... but the one that pisses me off the most is the assertion that vegetarians are pale and sickly. It only takes one exception to disprove a theory, but I refuse to appear in person so these bigots can see what a healthy vegetarian looks like!

My favorite off-the-wall one happened when I was much younger and had just started dating a new guy. He was enormously concerned because when he told a coworker that I was veg, she said, "Oh no! Tell her after 3 years she'll turn green. I did and I had to go back to eating meat!" Since I was about 2 1/2 half years in, I swear he eyeballed me for evidence that I was turning green every time we had a date. Thank god "#47: Vegetarians turn green after 3 years" has never become a cliche!

I'm not sure if this is on your list;

A lot of people say vegetarians or animal rights people don't care about people, or they should be donating money to homelessness, abused children, or whatever instead.

I have a funny feeling that a higher percentage of vegetarians donate to these causes than meat eaters.

I saw Joe Rogan from "Fear Factor" on the Tonight Show
once. He complained about how his show was criticized for people eating animal parts. He said "People shouldn't worry about this, when there's so much homelessness in the world." The audience applauded. Nobody asked him what he does for homeless people. It was just a cheap way to get applause.

I just thought of three more:

"I'm going to eat some meat and dedicate it to PETA (or k.d. lang or vegetarians in general)." or "For every animal you eat, I'll eat two." As if they weren't going to eat meat anyway.

"Hindus wouldn't be starving if they just ate the cows. I don't feel sorry for them for just being stupid."

"Studies show that vegetarians don't get adequate nutrition." Then they don't provide any evidence, statistics or show you where they got their information. The truth is that the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and USDA both acknowledge that a well balanced vegetarian diet is healthy.

One more: "Vegetarians can only eat like that because they have easy lives and don't have to work. It they had to go out and get a job, they would start eating meat."

A close variation is "Vegetarians are all children taken care of by their parents. If they had to live on their own and take care of themselves, they would know they have to eat meat."

"I don't eat anything with a face".
Note: I'm sorry I thought you meant vegetarian cliche's, and I answered the question that way and did not notice until I submitted the answer. To avoid any confusion I am adding this edit to my answer.

Hiya Chicken!!

Ooooh I can't choose between 'Humans are meant to eat meat look at your teeth , you don't have 4 stomachs like a cow do you?' 'You can't have a meal without meat!' 'I only buy organic meat because it is less cruel' If we didn't eat meat then the planet would be choked by the methane they produce so we are doing the Earth a favour!!' (It doesn't even occur to them that it is mass cheap meat production that has caused the explosion of numbers of our bovine pals!!!!) or 'I am aware of where meat comes from I just kid myself it wasn't living and breathing once.....'
They are such all sad, pathetic excuses IMHO!!

And don't even get me started on Gordon Ramsay - maybe I should corn feed him and treat him like a treasured family member for a year and then pan sear him, pate him, marinade him and feed him to foxhunter_guy !! (Do you think that vegetarians would make an exception??)

Really a very very very longggg list.

For me if our ancestors were some distant African monkeys then with an exception of one or two species of monkeys, no other species is a meat eater or meat hunter by nature. I am sure there are more than 50 species of monkeys around the globe now. So where to trace my origin of meat eating if I have to trace my origin to monkeys?

Of course I agree we have canine teeth. But that does not make us carnivores. However, 99% of biologists might agree that a carnivore is supposed to be identified by its teeth.

I find that the PROTEIN comment or question is the most frequent. When people say "but how do you get your protein", I try to educate them, I explain that the essential amino acids or "complete proteins" we need to build muscle and repairing tissue are made up of many things vegetarian. In addition to the meat-substitute foods like soy, spirulina, hemp seed, amaranth, buckwheat, and quinoa - complete proteins can also be found in rice and beans, hummus and pita bread, peanut butter and whole grain sandwich, tortillas and refried beans, beans and rice.

Here's two I couldn't find on the list: "If we didn't eat eggs, there'd be rotting eggs everywhere!" & "vegan men are impotent" I'll leave this one for the guys to dispel...

I swear, that one about "plants have feelings too" is like the gateway drug to asinine anti-veg questions. It must be in some handbook somewhere: "The Meat-eater's Guide to the Most Obnoxious Facetious Questions to Ask Vegans," or that old stand by, "The Power of Positively NOT Thinking" or perhaps just, "Brain-fart for Dummies"
