I am vegetarian and I think it is wrong to call yourself a vegetarian even though you eat fish. I got in an argument because some girl at my school was saying she was vegetarian, and because she wanted to lose a few pounds. She had no ethics by it so I called her a liar.
TOO MUCH???

Today I searched out vegetarian jello and found some at an organic store near me. I picked up several different flavors, and am interested in making jello shots with them because being a vegetarian I've never had them before (Yes I am of legal drinking age).
My question is.. in all jello shot recipes I've come across, even vegetarian ones say you add the vodka when you add in the cold water to mix the 'jello'. The vegetarian jello I got though doesn't call for cold water, just boiling water. What do I do? When would I add the vodka?

Can you recommend a brand of soap that is made from vegetable oil instead of animal fat and can be found in an average grocery store or pharmacy in the US?

I'm not interested in stopping ( I LOVE bacon and chitterlings way too much) I'm just curious. Don't you guys get weak from all the protein you're missing and what about weak bones from not drinking milk?

I'm faaaaar from being a vegeterian. I loooove meat, milk, and eggs.

I have a friend who is vegetarian, and who has many vegan and vegeterian friends . Lately I've been hanging out with them and I can't help but find the whole veggie culture interesting.

Inevitably an arugment came up about protein and how much you REALLY need, how bad is milk really, and so on.

Can any one give me good, scientific (with sources), reason for living a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle? Please refrain from using the whole animal rights bit. I'm more concerned with how this diet benefits you physically.

Since Gelatin has animal products, what would a vegan use to substitute jello (a store bought brand) if possible?

Okay, so I decided to become a vegeterian on Tuesday. I'm am now, almost four days without any meat. NOBODY in my family supports me, they all think I'm crazy and they think it's a phase I'll grow out of, I know different, I know I will never eat meat again. I decided to be a lato-veg. Now, what can I do with my family. I also need to know EASY vegeterian recipes. I'm a teenager, and my mom won't offer to cook a veggie meal, or an alternate for me, so I'll have to do it myself. I need easy fixings. I want your recipes! I need help, I don't want to starve to death. And also, can you give me a recipe you think my family will like, I'm going to offer to cook them a veggie meal and see if they like it. Thanks in advance!

I've heard cruelty-free, natural shampoos/conditioners are great for your hair, body, animals and the environment, which do you use? Are there online sites to purchase some?

Hey, I've been experimenting with becoming a vegetarian by going prolonged periods of time without meat, and I was wondering, do any of you ever eat meat on special occasions? A few weeks ago, my brother worked his *** off making a meal (some kind of chicken) for the rest of us, and I felt reluctant to eat it. I ended up eating it, but I felt bad later on. I started wondering if I would ever be in a situation where I'm served meat by someone who doesn't know I'm a vegetarian and have to tell them that I can't eat it. I would certainly hate to come off as rude. What are all your opinions on this? Thank you.

When a guy is setting up the first date, what's the best way to make sure we go somewhere with vegetarian food? I don't want to sound demanding but I also don't want to end up at a steak house!

I'm looking for vegan food that I can buy online. If anyone has any good vegan food sites, it would be great.
I'm alternating from vegetarian to vegan with my friend, because we think its much better.

I'm 16.
And I recently been persuaded about becoming a vegatartain.
I think it's the right thing to do.
But my parents think I'm too young and still finding who I am.
They say I need meat to help me grow and develop.
But I strongly feel different.
At dinner, they cook meat even knowing I'm against it.
and if i refuse to eat it, i get grounded, and everything gets taken away from me.
ipod, cellphone, the works.
How do I make them understand?
