lol yea it really depends on what you eat, like if your still eating hot fries and generally unhealthy things like hot fries then you probably wont lose a pound, the thing is to eat healthy when ever you can and dont forget protein and fiber. I like peanut butter, black beans and hummus..and i just add things to those like peanut butter and apples are the best but i wont lie i do eat a pop tart every now and then. In addition to eating healthy one has to exercise as well, like yoga, streaching, running, kick boxing..whatever it is dont be lazy! lol but yep you just feel good knowing an animal isn't dead to feed you..i actually saw in another post from a women she said milk was made to feed little cows to be 400pounds!! amazing! and another man said that the workers in the slatter houses have bad dreams and are addicted to pain killers and such..yep just some stuff i thought was interesting..
whatever you do just stick to it and be healthy about it!
good luck ^.^
oh and at my high school, they have this delish burrito, it has lettuce olives cheese salsa and was rapped in a green torta, and salads are always good with cheese or fish or shrimp but on most days i just bring a bp and j

Yes, you should try it. That's the only way to know if it is for you. Stock up on easy, vegetarian options such as veggie burgers, a wide variety of vegetables, and get a vegetarian cook book from the library. That should help you go a few weeks without eating meat. At that point, you should have a good idea as to whether or not you want to do it long term.
Check out www.vegweb.com too for good recipes.

Cheese pizza is great. Vegetarian chili (sans meat) is great. Vegetarian lasagna is awesome. Mashed potatoes with vegetable gravy...Tacos! Nachos. Something I love is a meatball sub without the meatballs- just the marinara sauce, cheese, mayo and hot peppers. I'm not great with the nutrition side of being vegetarian, but I do know what tastes good. :)

Losing weight, maybe, but you have to watch what it is you are eating instead of meat. Overall it is a better choice, particularly for the planet. 16 vegetarians could eat off the land it takes to feed one carnivore, since cattle need incredible plots of land to eat. And the waste from industrialized meat is incredible.
I only eat seafood, and I try to eat fish that was fished sustainably, but I am guilty of not always doing so. The occasional poultry as well, but free range.
I think you should totally go vegetarian, but do it slowly and learn what to eat. Otherwise your little experiment may burn out fast.
There are many reasons to not eat meat, it's easy to read about it on the internet. You don't need to go to the extreme sites like PETA to see how crazy it is to eat dead cows and pigs.

Yes.
Now, you have to eat lots of fruit and veggies and grains. And just being veg is no guarantee you'll lose weight. After all, there's a lot of vegan junk food out there! You have to decide what's right for you.
But I'm glad I went vegan five years ago. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner!

They both are Just the thing for your health. If you eat both, you're better off. But yea, I'd personally choose fruits because they taste better.

It is determined by the fruit or veg involved with a comparison. If perhaps you compare a farrenheit to a carrot, the carrot is the better of the two nutritional. But since you compare an avocado to the carrot, then this avocado is better. Equally the apple and avocado, are fruits.

Yes, it does have health benefits. And yes, you will probably lose weight (depending on what you eat, of course). I thought it was a good idea, and I feel very healthy having done it for a year now. Of course it is a major commitment...not always easy. Good luck!

The losing weight part is a big fat lie. Most of the vegetarians I know are overweight, too many carbs i'm guessing.
