Well, it happens very rarely. About 3 people a year get eaten by sharks here in Australia and then due to public pressure those sharks will be hunted down and killed. You know eye for an eye. Except most people fail to realize that 100 plus sharks are killed, some in Australian waters (illegally though), often so they can have their fin sawed of and then are thrown back into the water to die, all for a soup. Now I don't call that an eye for an eye.

I personally don't eat meat, but my biggest problem with eating animals isn't the taking of an animals life, it's giving an animal a life of cruelty and abuse before it is eaten. Australia isn't as bad as some countries but it's far from perfect. There has been a push for barn laid eggs, but still some people buy cage eggs.

Usually individual animals that are a threat to people are tracked down and killed. Sometimes, for example, a grizzly bear or a tiger becomes unable, perhaps through age, to tackle its normal prey, and takes to man-eating. Man is not the normal prey for any animal in the world today, because over evolutionary time periods we have out-smarted or out-fought any animal that did regard us as prey. No doubt we would do the same again if a new threat emerged!

Seems to me that animals were eating people along time ago. We just learned how to kill them better. Bears and mountain cats and dogs still eat people as well as lions and any number of other animals in the world. We ha vent even counted the sea life either.

some times animals do eat people. that wouldn't change me from being a vegan though. its in their nature to eat animals. we have stepped out of the realm of nature. foods other than meat are so plentiful that we can easily live our lives with out causing harm. the only reason anyone still eats meat is simply because they enjoy it. not because its necessary to live

If animals starting eating people I suppose they would begin to develop all the diseases , cancers, and illnesses humans develop from eating them .. I would imagine they would have to open clinics and hospitals to deal with this .. As well as build enclosures ,buildings and cages to put us in .. Additionally they would have to come up with some unique and cheap methods of feeding us like we do them ..Cows for instance are fed huge amounts of fish remnants in factory farming .. cows eating fish ..pretty unique.. makes you wonder if it would be possible for them to come up with any new techniques to grow us faster and fatter although we are already headed that way ..The news today said by 2015 " Fat " will be the norm for us ! but there is always new and improved methods we create to achieve this so they would have to just try even harder ..now it would be their turn to move up on the food chain .. and to think how much healthier they would be.. .. It would probably be their downfall ....

Animals do eat people. We're just not usually close enough to those animals. There is a place, I forget where it is, but the tigers there will eat the people in the village if they're not careful. Other animals, such as bears and lions, will attack if you get too close.

I agree with alwaysmoose =)

Animals do eat people...occasionally. Something 'other' animals don't do is capture, breed, domesticate, enslave, contain, abuse, and modify the things they eat.

Carnivores are a mutation in evolution...the true diet is energy transfered from the sun to plant life, which are responsible for vitamin production, oxygen production and they provide a source to consume dietary minerals..among other nutrients too. This is pure regeneration on its simplest level according to our biological parameters.

Most omnivores only consume meat in extreme situations and there bodies aren't 'meant' to eat meat, but they are capable of tolerating it. The reason we suffer from so much bullshit is because we are gluttonous naive and often ignorant emotional eaters who care more about their lunch then they do themselves in many cases.

Naturally we are suppose to be healthy and free from all ailments...so if diet is what provides regeneration..we are what we eat - and people still brood in the dark over why we are so unhealthy and filled with disease as a society?

People ARE animals. You mean if we started living in a close proximity to other animals and our physical weakness, slow logic compared to cunning and wit, and inability to operate without tools shone through?

Then some of us would die and some wouldn't. What are you getting at?

And yes, we DO need protein to the one who answered that. Not from dead flesh that is actually one of the worst sources of low quality protein.

Started?
Animals do eat people. Probably animals ate people before people ate animals.
Wolves, lions, tigers, cougars, bears, not to mention the scavengers.
