I have tried a lot of ways to keep the sprouts from getting mushy.. I open and spread out the sprouts to add a little air-drying.. (not too much!), and then close up again. I try not to let them get too cold or too hot.. anyone else deal with buyiing, storing & eating the brand-named sprouts?

No one on here is a vegan. Since a vegan does not use any products derived from animals, that would mean the wouldn't use plastic or glue. These are both used in computers and both are derived from animals. So, are you vegans actually vegans?

I'm interested in all ideas.

They look so good, and I like hot foods.

I've only been a vegetarian for a year, and I still do have cravings on occasion, especially when I see certain foods.

Well I think I've decided on becoming a vegetarian. [sort of]
I don't like how animals are being ruthlessly killed. For the
purpose of convenience, I want to still have a little meat in
my life. Just very sparingly. Sorry if that offends anyone. Anyways, I told my boyfriend of this decision and he doesn't
understand it. He said he doesn't understand the point of it
and that it's "stupid" if you will. I've also told him another
reason I want to do this is because of the whole being
more healthy cause I've heard meat can lead to heart disease
and all that jazz due to cholesterol and such. He still doesn't get it! How can I get him to be supportive?

Here's my question:

Would you give up using your favourite beauty products (you've been using them for years) if you would find out they are tested on animals?

Would you be willing to pay more/double for a product that's not tested on animals?

Unfortunately, I can't go to a health food store. If you had one suggestion for something good I could pick up at a normal grocers, what would it be? I am not picky and willing to experiement because I trust the opinions of many of you.

I'm a Nurses Aid & Vegan for 2 years. I am in good health and fit. My Family & Co-workers (Nurses) are constantly at me that being a vegan is unhealthy.I tried pointing out that I am in better shape and have lost 30 lbs but they are still telling me that my diet is unwise and make me sickly.Any ideas how to get them to stop badgering me.

I recently hosted a party for my daughters b-day. I served a brisket (smoked for 10 hours), jerked chicken (smoked for 4 hours), bacon ranch potato salad, and beans. During the party, I came across one girl sitting quietly in the corner, crying, because we didn't have anything for her to eat (the beans had Ham in it), and she was hungry. So I told her to get in my truck, we went down and got her a salad from Wendy's. Later, when her mom picked her, she told her what happened. The mom was livid, "how dare I invite her vegan child and not serve something she could eat" was the question that this question reminded me of. The invitation clearly stated that Bar-B-Que would be served, but I thought I was still bending over backwards to feed her child.

So I'm wondering, if it would be ok with the host if I brought myself a great big ol' rib-eye to eat a Vegan party? And, would it be OK for me scream at the host for not providing meat for me eat?

Here you go people! My whole list of what I hate that people say about vegetarians and vegans and such...(thanks Michael, for your insparation.)

1 - We have canine teeth - O really? Prove it isn't just to grind up things other than meat better? (I use my backteeth anyways...)
2 - We were meant to eat meat - And how did you come up with that theory?
3 - Where will all the cows go - In the feild? With the other animals? (there wouldn't be as many if we didn't breed them so much)
4 - Vegetarians need supplements - I don't...
5 - We need meat - Or do we just need protine?
6 - Do vegans swallow - Retards...
7 - The bible says God gave us animals to eat - SHOW ME THE PASSAGE I SWEAR!!! (I hate that one...mostly because I'm a Christian)
8 - You need meat for protein - You do?! Because all of us don't need any protine at all!
9 - animals are killed humanely - (tired of this one too) I really don't give a c**** how they are killed, i just wish they werent.
