First of all, I agree that all people should be able to eat whatever they want without being judged or needing permission from others. The problem that I see with people asking so many questions is that they should better educate themselves about their own lifestyle choices. If you are considering being a vegan or vegetarian, then you should do you homework and research so that you can fully understand what you can and cannot eat. Otherwise, you come off looking like an ignorant person who is making a choice for all of the wrong reasons.

I agree, I find it terribly annoying. One does not need any kind of certification to be a vegan, there are no rules. Saying "Vegan" is like saying "Natural" -- it cannot be defined to the point of regulation. Man made chemicals are completely natural, in theory, see.
At least they could ask the question with a little more depth, such as...
"hi, for whatever reason I cannot read the ingredients and look them up myself, please, can you tell me - is there is any animal product in cheese?"
Better would be:
"I heard that there are animal ingredients in products which are not listed on the label, what are some things I should look out for?"
See the difference?

Being a strict vegan I have found that vegetarians and vegans have a limited mental ability to make decisions. The best explanation I can come up with is lack of protein impairs the thought process.

LOL, most who ask these questions just need help with their expanding education in something they are interested in pursuing. Veggie, Vegan or something else.
Many are young people just feeling the way in the more adult world they find them selves entering.
Don't be so tough on them.
I may be stuck up & I certainly eat Vegan, but I am no where near a liberal..yuck.

most people aren't looking for approval. they're looking for information. a young veggie might have heard somewhere that jello wasn't vegetarian, and comes here to find out if that is true. i myself have been veggie for years and only found out here that certain dyes are made from insects. i don't need anyone's approval, but the information is valuable so i can make an informed decision.

they want to kno if it's vegan, cuz if jell-o had dog fat in it, wouldn't u want to kno? to vegans, animals are equal, not some are special, and some are treated like trash and made into food. in korea, some ppl eat dogs... what if u were gevin food with dog meat in it, and u though it was beef? you'd be pissed off, right? same thing.

because they want to live a certain lifestyle, and when your first starting out its nice to be able to get help from others who have been there. just because you don't like vegans or vegetarians, doesn't mean you need to voice your opinions. we know, we got it. people label us as crazies and don't like us. we can deal with it. now go to the hunting section. we don't want your input.
