I think a man that chooses to be a vegetarian is someone who is not afraid to make a stand for something he believes in. That is very attractive. Vegetarian men have harder erections than meat eaters too, after the age of about 40 or so. The younger meat eating guys are usually good too because the years of cholesterol hasn't caught up with them yet.

Before I was vegan, I probably wouldn't have cared dating someone who was vegetarian and I wouldn't have thought any less of them. As a vegan though, I think I wouldn't want to date someone who ate meat. As for being a vegetarian making you seem more masculine or not, I don't judge people's masculinity by their diet. It depends on their personality, and also partially on their looks.
Edit:
There are some girls who will think you're a queer and think less of you because you're a vegetarian. But I suppose that's a good thing because it helps you thin the herd out a bit. No one should want to date someone that shallow.

Vegetarian men are usually independant, compassionate & have the courage to be themselves. They don't feel the need to munch big sloppy burgers even though the TV ads insist that it is "manly" to eat cow parts. It takes real guts in this media-controlled society to disobey the TV.
Also, vegetarians enjoy better health, enhanced vitality & their physical appearance shows this. There are plenty of vegetarian guys out there who are body-builders, musicians, actors. How sexy is that?
When I was single, lots of meat-eating guys apparently thought it was really macho & clever to phone me to tell me about the hunk of flesh they had for dinner. Although I would date non-vegetarians I wouldn't go out with guys who were so insecure about themselves that they needed to do that kind of chest-beating & posing (not to mention how insensitive this was). My SO wasn't vegetarian when we got together, but transitioned into it during our 1st year as a couple & he had to stand up to some severe scrutiny from some of his family & friends-- he remained firm in his convictions. I still swoon over the guy & we've been together more than 9 years ;-) BTW, it was his decision to stop eating meat.
If there is any further doubt that vegetarian men can be totally masculine & sexy, I leave you with 2 words: Christian Bale.

OMGoodness! I would LOVE to find a vegetarian or vegan man. I love food and my vegetarian lifestyle is important to me. I would be wonderful to have a significant other who also ascribes to this way of life.
No, I don't think veg/vegan men are less masculine. I think those men are more open-minded and are actually stronger than meat-eating men. (you know...strong convictions and the like).

A lot (not all) meat eaters and intimidated by vegetarians, so I could expect a female meateater to be intimidated by a vegetarian male. Although, I think vegan/vegetarian females are incredibly attracted to men who don't eat meat and are respecting their body and the environment. I think it's hot. Being healthy is hot.

I think it's incredibly attractive and sexy personally. A compassionate man!?!? WOW! I'd much rather date a vegetarian/vegan than someone who eats meat, just because I would know that their views on the world more closely resemble my own (of course a meat-eater's views could closely resemble mine on everything else as well). I certainly don't think any woman would see you as less masculine because you live a lower impact life.

Even when I did eat meat I was much more atracted to vegetarians because they tended to have a more humane nature about them and they had more of a knack for flavor in food rather than filling. They were individuals and didn't try to conform to some stupid macho stereotype like most guys. Now as a vegetarian I am even more atracted because I have something in common with them.

I think they are just as masculine as meat eaters, but I am a vegetarian.
If you are worried about it, don't mention your vegetarianism to people you don't know well. They usually won't know on their own, and many restaurants have non-meat dishes.

Hmmm Interesting question. I don't personally know any men that are veg/vegan so I could only guess that I would see them no differently. Like others have said it shouldn't really be a factor.

I'm NOT a vegetarian, I like my meat. But, I think anybody that is trying to be healthy is sexy. I wouldn't look at a man any different, in face I might look at myself more and ask myself what I could do to be healthier.
