I like box cakes. They work well when your feeling lazy. :) The only think I don't like about them is the fact that they are so 'fluffy'.

How can I tweek the box directions to get a denser, more moist cake?

I need some good yam recipes. Something tastey, and not gross...Ive never eaten yams before, but I know they help with fertility, so Im willing to try anything atleast once. So if you have some good recipes, please share with me.
Also, is there a way to tell a difference between a yam and a sweet potatoe?

I am sick of the same 'ole, same 'ole. Beans, potato salad, mac and cheese, or french fries. Does anyone have some new ideas? How about some unique ways to prepare the hot dogs?

(don't have time) I guess I should have searched yesterday. Also I don't want them barbequed... I don't have lemon lime soda.. which a lot of the recipes called for, I have your average household seasonings.. and condiments.. liquid smoke ect..
Any ideas that you have tried to make a simpy but tasty meal.
Also include temp (low, med, high heat) and how long.. boil them first or not.. any ideas would be great. Thanks♥

So you see here folks...I tend to kick it ol skool with Mr.Noodles, Aunt Jamima and uncle ben lol :P therefore I seek your help as I attempt to become domesticated. I promised my boyfriend that because he is so great and does so much for me that I would learn how to cook just for him. I'm 26 and used to single life cooking (if its not out of a box or can or can be nuked in under 10 min I don't bother with it!) I am looking for tips and tasty (healthy) recipes to try that don't take a lot of time to prepare and that will satisfy the needs of a "meat and potato man" with a healthy appetite. I'm no rachael Ray, I do not wish to make a dish which name I cannot pronounce nor am I going to prepare something with a million spices/ingredients. Id like those type of recipes where you say "a monkey could do it!" so please feel free to comment on cooking basics and essentials, use links and let me know what has gone over well with you! I'll thank you as soon as my boyfriend thanks me!! *wink*

My friend dipped apples in cheese.
She also put peanut butter on bananas.

What do you think of these combinations?
Just curious.

I'm making what I call EDC for dinner (easy delicious chicken) what should I make for a side? The chicken consists of italian chicken, provalone cheese, and bread crumbs. I don't want plain old rice. Also if it could transport easy that would be great as I'm taking some to my mother's for her dinner.
Thanks
