I have some fresh cherry tomatos from the garden that I want to "spice up" a bit without really adding too much flavor. I want to enhance the tomatos, not cover them up. I was thinking of slicing them in half and adding olive oil, salt, pepper, and dried basil and/or dried oregano (I dont have fresh). Would this work? Any suggestions of other things to add or not to add? Thanks!

I have a box of whole wheat penne, fat free cheese slices, extra virgin olive oil, broccoli, onions, and a fully stocked spice cabinet. I have time to pick up a few more things, but I don't have a lot of money. I was thinking maybe add some chicken and a few more veggies for a pasta toss? What else can I add/do? Thanks in advance.

Ok so I tried to roast a pig and it turned out great. Of course I had to do a lot of searching but it was well worth it. I found a Website by the name of SPITJACK.COM and the guy there Bruce was a great help, he has everything needed to roast that pig up. So if you are planning roast a pig go to Spitjack. I found my pig at a local meat market put in a order and get it a week later all cleaned out. I highly recommend seasoning up the pig at least two days before, a lot of people sew the belly and stuff it not us. I gather all my favorite seasonings and added fresh herbs to teh blender with olive oil, vingear, water and lots of lemon/lime juice and made a large bowl of Mojo (a Wet seasoning) and made holes in teh pig and poured that right in a bag and let it sit for two days the day of cooking it I stuff hald fresh garlic cloves in the wholes and we were good to go. Hope this helped.

The casserole has rice, chicken, sausage, and cream of chicken soup and a few other things. I was going to make this casserole with two sides for some friends. It has a lot of flavor. Do you think a casserole is okay for a small dinner party? One of my friends does not like most vegetables so it can be tricky with sides.

I am referring to that dark red/brown stuff that is close to the bone and on the meat that is close to the bone, especially on chicken drumsticks. That is so gross to me. My mother inlaw said she soaks the chicken in cold salt water for a while, but I don't want to do that because I am afraid that it will make the chicken too salty. Has anybody ever heard of this or does anybody have any other remedies and/or suggestions?

I have never made country style ribs... My mom always boiled them then baked them and they turned out sooooo yummy and perfectly tender and juicy. I was wondering if I throw some in a crock pot with some bbq sauce, would they be just as good? If not please tell me how to get them like my mom did. Thanks!

Does the recipe make the difference? I don't like a lot of filler.. Thanks for your help. Our Walmart Superstore doesn't seem to be very SUPER since all they have is few items of frozen fish and frozen imitation crab and lots of shrimp but mostly frozen. They must be having too much trouble getting a china source lately. I'm only 300 miles from the pacific ocean. Even the imitation crab I bought had more spanish writing on it than english.
