Toaster ovens are good, especially if you are single, or don't have a microwave. You can make toast, frozen burritos, pizza rolls, toasted sandwiches, quick stuff like that. I had one when I first moved out and used it religiously.

Grilled cheese, cheesy garlic bread, leftovers, pizza bites from the frozen section, French onion soup. The broiler works great on a toaster oven to toast the bread and cheese. I miss my toaster oven.

bagel pizzas, winnies for hot dogs, warm up left overs that would get soggy/limp if warmed up in microwave, warm up pastries that don't fit in regular toaster, cook small piece (depending on toaster oven size) of meat/chicken, roast some veggies (wrapped in foil or spread out on the trays it comes with), warm something up in there without needing to take it out of the foil you wrapped it in...there's a ton of things you can do with a toaster oven. I had one that was big enough to roast a whole chicken in... and it came with a bunch of extra gadgets and stuff.
