I have tried to make chicken and dumplings so many times and every time the dumplings are too hard and do not taste good. The chicken and broth are absolutely wonderful. What am I doing wrong?

If a recipe calls for an oven setting of 350 degrees for 1 hour and the same recipe calls for 20 minutes in a microwave (1200 watts) on high. Does anyone know or can answer which one uses more electricity? These days..I have to watch the usage closely. Summertime in south Texas can be brutal and the AC is used when I'm home. That makes my bill high. Try to save where I can.

My daughter may be getting married in Fort Knox after her boyfriend graduate from basic. I would like to surprise them with a small wedding cake, but a very good tasting cake. I would appreciate any recipes. Also, when a recipe calls for you to beat until fluffy, how many minutes does it normally take? I either beat too long or not long enough.Thank you all in advance for the help.

Hey Everybody,
I was trying to think of something to eat for tomm. night w/ corn and then I remembered a recipe in which my mom use to make in which it had:

cucumbers
vinegar
tomatoes
some onions

It may have had a couple other things, but I can't remember. It was pretty sweet too (from the vinegar). I called my Mom and she said she can't remember, its been like 5 years since she's made it. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. I tried looking it up online but got weird things like "red wine", "watermelon", "garlic" and so on. I know "weird" ingredients weren't included.

I once had a neighbor who came from the interior of Mexico, and she used to make those Tamales, and rolled them up on the leaves of the Banana tree, once when I saw her do it I asked her how they tasted like and she gave me one to taste, they tasted better than the one's you make from Corn Husks.

we have 2 dozen eggs that need using. we aren't "egg" eaters but eat recipes w/ eggs as an ingredient. Does anyone have a recipe that uses a lot of eggs?
