What do you serve with your deep fried fish? Any ideas? I was thinking either a salad, or french fries?

For breakfast I like to substitute hash browns for fish hash..
My recipe has always been
Mashed Potatoes, mixed with slivered cod fish, 1 egg, packed into little patties (about 4 inches wide and 1 inch thick), then fried in a hot frying pan with some olive oil....But it never seems to turn out correctly, what am I doing wrong?

I have never cooked with fresh mushrooms. Always used the canned. Now I'm venturing out and have collected several recipes using them but none tell me how to prepare them for cooking. Do I need to do anything special to them before adding them to my recipe? Like a special cleaning method?

Ideas, please. I'm not that good with anything TOO complicated, so if at some point the whole recipe has to be put in a blender or flambed (sp?), I won't try it.

I've never made a dinner using ramen noodles before, but for some reason, it may be the fact that i'm pregnant, it just sounds really good. I have no recipes though. Does anyone have any recipes to share, some using meat like chicken or beef would be good.

I am 13 and my brother is 15. He plays basketball 24/7 and our family is CRAZY this summer. Between baseball, and softball, and basketball, and both of my parents working to keep not only their own buisness running, but other jobs also...we need some quick, easy, healthy meals that our family would enjoy. Do you have any suggestions?

My family has started this tradition, where the intermediate familys take turn cooking gourmet meals on Sundays after church. I'm in the process of moving to another city, and my turn is going to be coming up soon. I'm the only 'child' that still participates with family activies (brunch, calls reguarlary, still visits grandma) and I want to make something really good!

I live in a 1 b.r. apt, so theres not that much space, does anyone know something that I can cook that will be really good, unique, and not space consuming?

Thanks!

I do it simple-simplicity is truths best garb. I dont choose the marbled-the fat is still in there-I get the leanest piece with the least fat on the edge-not the one with no fat-London broil- if its thick cut =over an inch thick- I cut it to 3/4 inch thick-side ways and 6-10 inches in length.

cooking i am with the majority medium rare- if you like it more well done-leave it in till it meats/lol meets your standards.

salt and peper meat tenderize and fork it about 10 times each side, and put it in the broiler- and flip a couple of times at 8 minute interviles-browning each side. then i cut out the none raw part -a few inches in all around-that part is medium rare-and broil the center a few more minutes-then take that out too-do not leave it in or it will overcook with residual heat.

YUMMMM and some food for the soul=pray before eating thanking Jesus in his amazing grace to bless the food and our service to him from its energy. (John 3-repent of sin and let Jesus in heart)TY
