what can I do with raspberries that have turned a bit mushy? They are not bad yet, just not completely firm, but I don't want to waste them if possible. Can I freeze them like this, and if so, what I could use them for later? Also, what could I use them for now?

I have a recipe I am supposed to make for a family reunion in August for a raspberry cheesecake. Its a recipe I have never used before so I am going to try it out this week. I just noticed that it calls for cottage cheese instead of cream cheese like all my other recipes. I know I can substitute sour cream for the cottage, but I was wondering how other people felt about using cottage cheese in their cheesecakes. I personally hate cottage cheese so I am afraid I won't eat it knowing that its in there. Please give me your opinions. Thanks very much!

I have a brownie recipe that calls for a jelly roll pan and I thought jelly roll pans have very short sides, why would you put a brownie recipe in this pan? Brownies are supposed to be thick, not thin. I don't understand the use of this pan.

I'm looking for a dessert that contains blackberries (I have about a quart of them).

I'd prefer something cold and that doesn't require me to turn my oven on.

I tried to fry hash brown potatoes in my new uncoated stainless steel frying pan (on medium high heat) and they stuck like mad. What is the best way to avoid this?

I'd like to introduce a little tofu into my life and have a few more meatless dinners. Kid-friendly and gluten free would be best. But if you have a great "gluten-y" recipe I can probably work around it.

i'm throwing a ren fest party for my kids. their ages are 10,9,7 and 3.
we celebrated their bdays privatly but couldn't have individual parties for two of my kids because we were moving from one home to another. since we are big ren fest fans i'm throwing a big bash in our new home and everyone is coming with costumes and there'll be ponies and a juggling act.
but i need food ideas! the only thing i have down is meat on sticks. YES that sounds weird but it's real big at the renaissance faires and that's what the kids like. but i have no idea what else to serve.
your suggestions would be great! thanks
blessed be,
lissette

i have an apartment, so i dont have a grill, and i love my meats!

i know i can grill a steak, burger or chicken in a pan, but its just not as good as cooking on the grill.

i also have a george foreman grill, but all it is is just a sloped pan so the juices drain out. i end up with really dry meat that way.

does anyone have any tips for how i can cook my meat and still have it be really juicy and not crusted on the outside?

I made my first ever fresh peach pie. The pie turned out okay, however, I had the hardest time ever slicing the peaches. Is there a trick to removing the peach's pit? Thank you.
