You could make blackberry sorbet if you have an ice cream machine.
They go perfect with vanilla ice cream, too! Plain, or cut in half and set with a dash of amaretto.
You could also cut them, let them sit in some sugar, and serve with shortcake and whip cream and have blackberry shortcake!

Since you don't want to tum on the oven, buy a graham cracker crust, fill with custard (use recipe below and do not thin), stop with black berries. Melt currant jelly (not jam) and brush on top to make a glaze. Chill for 2 hours before serving.
Ãclair Custard Filling
Mix in sauce pan:
½ C sugar
½ tsp salt
1/3 C flour
Stir in 2 C milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring until it boils. Boil 1 minute and remove from heat. Stir a little over ½ of mixture into 4 egg yolks (or 2 eggs), beaten. Blend into hot mixture in sauce pan. Bring just to boiling. Cool and blend in 2 tsp vanilla. Thin to desired consistency with milk.

You can make a sweet sauce with the blackberries by adding a little sugar in a bowl and mixing the blackberries around while lightly pressing on them to release their jucies. Spoon the mixture into angel food cake cups and top with whipped cream. You can also mix with other fruit and vanilla yogurt for smoothies.

OK! I've got a good one that has been passed down through my family for generations. You pick the blackberries, THEN.........you eat them plain.
