I need to make rigatoni for 40 people. How many pounds of dry pasta should I purchase. How much sauce would I need? Also I need to make a garden salad. How many bags of salad would I need or how many heads of lettuce would I need? I was thinking that a head of lettuce would serve 6 and a bagged salad would serve 4, so in the end the heads of lettuce would be more cost effective. What do you think?

Corn prices have tripled. Ice cream makers are in trouble! Milk and meat prices are going up. I have read that if all counties use grain, the world will strave to death!

Is there anyway to use my old recipe for chocolate chip cookies, but somehow substitue ingrediants to make it gluten free? Maybe? I have gotten so many compliments on my recipe (http://www.hersheys.com/recipes/recipes/detail.asp?id=5368&page=1&per=25&category_id=20&classics=1&CategoryPage=true) (The classic chocolate chip cookies) and don't want to use one of the gluten-free recipes, that I have heard are often rather disgusting or tasteless. Any suggestions for how to turn my loyal recipe into a gluten-free one?

1 clove garlic, minced
1 stick unsalted butter (1/2 cup or 1/4 pound. If you only have salted butter, do not add salt), melted
1 cup dried bread crumbs
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese (or 2/3 cup if you are using a Microplane zester)
2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
A large pinch of Italian seasoning (herb mix)
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 lbs of skinless, boneless, chicken meat, cut into pieces no larger than 2x2 inches
-----------------------------------
1 Preheat oven to 450°F.

2 In a bowl, combine the minced garlic with the melted butter. In another bowl mix together the bread crumbs, Parmesan, parsley, salt, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, and pepper. Dip chicken pieces into garlic butter, then into crumb mixture to coat.

I'm serious , this isnt a joke post. The other day my auntie made them for me at first i found the thought of it to be repulsive but i ate them and they were amazing...

its simply squid, and well-done beef
and you can add blueberries if you like that!

i have been eating them for breakfast/lunch every day for the past week.

anyone ever hear of this.

Ok - someone else asked this question about 7 months ago - but no one was able to help. I hope this time, someone has the answer. August/September 2006 food network had an episode of "Secret Life of... Comfort Foods" A guy had a recipe for meatloaf that included oatmeal instead of breadcrumbs and called for covering the meatloaf with raw bacon before putting it in the oven to keep it extra moist. Darn food network never posted the recipe for it though!!!!! Does someone know the recipe - or have you seen the show recently and remember what else you put in this meatloaf? Also - what restaurant was that meatloaf from. Thanks guys!

I grew more zucchinis than I can give away or eat! LOL I want to try to pan fry them, but what should I use for batter or breading? I am planning on frying in vegetable oil (NOT shortening) OR if you know any way to bake/broil to make them crispy that would be good too. Thank you!

Keep in mind it needs to be just something like an afternoon snack, something simple yet delicious that i can pack in a lunch, or make for a quick breakfast.

I can't use the stove/oven/blender or basically any electronic device except for a toaster and a microwave. All the ingrediants should be stuff i can easily find around the house.

ALL FOOD MUST BE KOSHER!!!!!

I would love a recipe for Chicken Purlough. I previously asked for someone from S.C. only because the best tasting purlough that I have had came from Kingstree S.C. at Brown's BBQ. If anyone has a recipe that does not include building a fire an does include more than chicken and salt. I would love to know it. Thanks a bunch.
