Here in Australia we call a biscuit what in America is called a cookie.
So, can someone please explain to me what a bisciut is?
It sounds yummy when an American talks about it in a more savoury way than a sweet way.....

I was cooking a pot of chili and spilt cumin into the pot. Now its barely edible. Anything you can do to make it palatable? It tastes almost salty but its just to much spice.

Is there a lot of taste difference. Especially canned or bottled from the store. Which one has a milder taste? Thanks!

Basically i have a bag of frozen shrimp should i thaw it before i cook it or cook it frozen(it's sorta already thawing as we speak so a quick answer can't hurt : )

also is it best to boil it or to steam it, I kept looking on the internet for these answers but all i ever find are recipes for some complicated stuff with lots of garlic and butter (icK) i like my shrimp plain and hot that i can peel myself(like the stuff you find at a chinese restaurant) anyway i guess my big question is is it better to boil it or steam it? and for how long, do i add salt if i boil it? etc that kind of stuff

If you are making a cake frosting with milk, sugar, crisco, oleo, flour and vanilla, does it need to be refrigerated. My mother has used this recipe for years and never refrigerated it and we never got sick. Now that I see that milk is an ingredient it screams out refrigeration necessary to me. What's the deal with frostings and the need for refrigeration?

Yes, charcoal can be messy, and takes more time, but the taste is the absolute best, IMHO.

I will often add some bouillon to the water. I've also sauteed the rice on EVOO and garlic before adding it to the water. Whatcha'll think? Got any other good ideas?
