I was cooking a pot of chili and spilt cumin into the pot. Now its barely edible. Anything you can do to make it palatable? It tastes almost salty but its just to much spice.

take some wheat flour and make it as a small ball using little water ,and put it in the dish which is too salty , later remove the whet flour ball so it takes away the excess saltiness inthe curry.

Cumin isn't something you will really be able to remove. I suggest adding another can of beans, tomatoes and a little more meat. Then once you are done let it simmer and reseason.
