No-Bake Peanut Butter Balls

My mom used to make these peanut butter balls for me when I was growing up, and they were always a special treat. They are very rich, and so easy to make (with only 2 ingredients). Now I make them for my own children and they always want more!

Ingredients:

1-2 cups peanut butter

powdered sugar

powdered milk (optional)

Directions:

1. Take about 1-2 cups of peanut butter and mix together with enough powdered sugar (several cups) to form a dough like ball that's formable. You can also add powdered milk, but we usually don't.

2. Now form the dough into 1" balls and then roll around in some more powdered sugar.

3. Keep refrigerated until they're all gone, which will be in just a couple of days!

Sounds like a variation on the No-Bake variety here is a good recipe from Home Ec:
Peanut Butter Crunchies
INGREDIENTS:
3 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups dark corn syrup
3 cups peanut butter
15 cups cornflakes (you can also use rice crispies)
PREPARATION:
Combine sugar and syrup; bring to a boil stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add peanut butter and cornflakes. Mix well. Spread mixture onto a greased cookie sheet. Cut into squares.

Here is a really good one. Enjoy! 2 sticks of soft margarine, 16oz. powdered sugar, 1 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter, 2 tsp. vanilla. Mix margarine, peanut butter, p. sugar and vanilla. Makes about 50 balls. Chill for 1 hour. Dip in chocolate if desired, place on waxed paper. Those are now buckeyes.

1 cup peanut butter
6 cups corn flakes

Bring corn syrup and sugar to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for ONLY 3 minutes (any longer the balls will be hard).
Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter. Pour over corn flakes and mix. Wait a few minutes, then roll into balls.

I seem to remember this recipe mom used to make for us. It used peanut butter, powdered milk and honey. It had the consistency of playdoh....and stuck to the ceiling pretty well.

(it tasted good too, but you know how kids will be kids...)
