I am a freshman in college this year and my friends and I all miss dinner at home. I love to cook so two of us decided to get together and make full dinners every week for 8-10 people. I can cook almost anything so the simplicity of the recipe is not an issue. However, we are in college and so I need an idea for a meal that is around $50, as each person can only afford about $5 a week. I have done this for two weeks and made dishes like ravioli, stuffed mushrooms, fruit salads, and cooked squash and zuccini medlies. We all love vegetables, meat, and enjoy having sides, a main dish and a dessert. We set the table with a tablecloth and everything and it is tons of fun. I've done variations of pasta dishes two weeks in a row so this week I was searching for something different or a little more flavorful, but any ideas will help! Thank you so much...

i love lasagna i could eat those 1 pound servings at restaurants with out a problem, and still want more. i am lactose intolerant which causes a problem w/ the cheese. is there any "lactose-free lasagna"? lets leave out the "dont eat it" answer. thanks

I have a can of yellow tomatos, several cans of peas, a can of asparagus, a can of red tomatos, several pounds of rice, some potatoe flakes and one can of tuna. I just found these in the back of my pantry, and I think the cans are pretty old - maybe 3 years old. The rice is sealed in a mylar bag so I feel good about it.
You don't have to include all of the ingredients, but what would you make with these?

I need a recipe that is really easy, not costly & quick to make.
I do not want to have to work w/ the oven. So cross the oven out :)
Something in the microwave would be great.
Something hot or cold.
