Of course I know Green Bean Casserole, but are there others that are not casserole recipes?
Green Beans are pretty healthy and I'd like to keep them that way.

Thanks.

I don't have measurements, as I usually just throw this together.

Fresh Green Beans
Dash Soy Sauce
Fresh Ginger to taste
Honey

Steam the Green Beans for about 5 min, drain and toss in a frying pan add soy sauce, fresh ginger and honey and cook on a rather high heat till bubbly! They are delicious. If you want to spice it up a little, add a dash of red pepper flakes. Enjoy

I really like green bean bundles. take 4 or 5 fresh green beans and tie them together w/ the green part of a chive or green onion then dip them in pancake batter and deep fry in veg. oil for about 2 to 3 mins. They taste great and are very lite as not all the batter will stay on....just enough.

COUNTRY GREEN BEANS

4 to 6 slices of bacon, cooked and drained
1 can of french style green beans

Fry bacon in skillet, drain fat and bacon. Then in skillet put green beans with juice. Add to this the crumbled bacon. Salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 10 to 20 minutes.

GARLICKY GREEN BEANS

1 lb. green beans
1 tbsp. olive oil
3 lg. cloves garlic, chopped
1 roasted red bell pepper (from jar), cut in thin strips
Freshly ground pepper and salt to taste

Wash, trim, and cut green beans into 2 inch lengths. Put beans in large skillet and add 1/3 cup water. Cook over high heat for 6 to 8 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning. Once water has cooked off, test beans for doneness. Remove pan from heat. Add olive oil, garlic, and bell pepper to beans and return pan to medium heat. Saute for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Season with pepper and salt to taste.

GREEN BEANS & MUSHROOMS

1 med. onion, chopped
1 can green beans, cut
1/4 lb. mushrooms, cleaned & sliced

Saute onion in butter until transparent. Add green beans and mushrooms. Simmer until heated through. Serves 4. Sliced water chestnuts may also be added.

HERBED GREEN BEANS

1 lb. fresh green beans
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. minced onion
1/2 clove garlic, minced
1/4 c. minced celery
1/2 c. minced fresh parsley
1 tsp. fresh rosemary, or 1/4 tsp. dried
1/4 tsp. dried basil
3/4 tsp. salt

Trim ends of beans, cut diagonally into 2 inch pieces. Cook in 2 inches of water in a covered pan for 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and keep warm.
In the meantime in a skillet melt butter and saute onion, garlic and celery and cook for about 5 minutes. Add parsley, rosemary, basil and salt. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Just before serving, toss the green beans with the herbed flavored butter.

I only use frozen vegies. Simply put them in a pan over low heat, add 1/2 cup wedged onions, 2 or three slices of bacon chopped and a little butter (or cooking spray). Cook until soft and enjoy.

Add bacon. Flash fry bacon, drain, chop, stir in beans and add a rounded tbs of grated parm&romano cheese. Yum!
