I recently saw uncooked black pudding slices to sample at the deli counter in my local Morrisons. I asked if it was OK to eat before cooking and they said YES. I tried it and it was delicious. Asked my local butcher about this and he said a definate NO. Anyone else out there as gross as me and eats raw black Pud? Also any Black Pud recipe #ideas would be great. I like to grill it and eat with HP brown sauce or deep fry in batter and scoff with redcurrant jelly!

The basic buttercream came out harder, and sweeter, than I was hoping for.

Any foolproof recipes?

Any tips re. "you want these ingredients," "don't use too much of X," etc? Light and creamy is what I'm going for, not sugary and hard.

I would like some good easy recipes for tastey dinners. It seems like we have spaghetti, burritos/enchiladas/tacos and then stirfry..and then start over again. I would like some new things to mix it up a little. Please no recipes with seafood or a lot of onions. Also there will be a toddler eating this dinner so either nonspicy ..or spice on the side would be good. Thanks!

ooooh please don't give me a www.... answer..just recipes your family likes please

They say your supposed to take the chicken and put it between wax paper and thin it out like that? What the heck is wax paper and where do I get it from? Is there a difference between that and just thinning it out on the table? Someone told me I can take Saran wrap, and thin it in there?

My potatoes been laying in my cubboard for a while. They started growing white "things" on the skins? Are they still OK to eat or should I throw them away? How do I get mashed potatoes whipped and so soft without using an electrical machine and just using a fork?

This will be my first attempt to make Cordon Bleu. However, the recipe says to make it with Swiss. Thanks to my wonderful hubby, who eats 4-6 cold cut sandwiches again, I ran out. And it's pouring outside. Can I substitute Swiss for Provolone? I know it won't be the same, but will it defeat the purpose of the dish? And if it will defeat the purpose, what other yummy, cheesy, easy-to-make chicken baked recipes can anyone recommend me? Thanks a ton.
