I am removing white flour and starchy products from my diet because they have a negative effect on blood sugar and insulin levels. However, I still love to cook and I would like to know if their are any other alternatives to using white flour or sauce as a thickening agent?

Is pesto sauce supposed to be salty? I made dinner for my dad tonight and i got the sauce mix from the store, i had to mix in water and olive oil and it tasted really salty. Is it supposed to taste like that or was it bad sauce? I have never had it before tonight so i don't know what is supposed to taste like.

All eggs were cooked at the same time in the pan but 2 eggs from one store could not peel and 6 eggs from another store peeled easily.

It is in my toaster oven and has been cooking for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. When I touch it, it bouches back slightly- the top isnt hard yet and its bubbling a bit.

I do not have any tooth picks to insert into it to check if its ready.

it has a shortbread or sugar cookie like base that you pre-bake, then you make a egg & brown sugar mixture (similar to what you would do for a pecan pie filling) but i think you even beat the whites and fold them in. but it has coconut and i believe nuts in the filling. my great-aunt called them cookies what am.... weird name i know but they were the best things on earth and i am pregnate with child number 3 and i have to find them!!!!! have to.... if anyone can help please save me from my depression... i need those cookie bars

Are all white chocolate chips made with cocoa butter?
I have a package of white chocolate chips and it says "Real Cocoa Butter," but I don't know if all white chocolate has that in it.
