It is in my toaster oven and has been cooking for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. When I touch it, it bouches back slightly- the top isnt hard yet and its bubbling a bit.

I do not have any tooth picks to insert into it to check if its ready.

Don't use a toothpick but here is a rule of thumb. Bake your cheesecake "bain marie". This is basically baking your cheesecake in a steam bath in the oven. This allows your cheesecake to bake...with no cracks across the top and it will moist and dense and not dry. Also, do not overmix your batter. The more air you incorporate into the batter causes cracks. One...use a springform pan, a cheesecake is difficult to remove from a pan. Two...bake your cheesecake for approximately an hour but at a moderately high oven. Bake it 450 for ten minutes, then turn it down to about 350. By the time the oven cools to this temperature, your cheesecake is already half baked. Thirdly, do not ...do not repeat...open the oven door during the baking process. You do not want to steam to escape. Fourth....once your cheesecake has baked in the oven, turn it off, open the oven a crack and allow it to cool. After twenty minutes, remove it from the oven and place in a warm area to cool free of drafts...drafts causes cracks. please let me know if you would like some good cheesecake recipes.

The cheesecake should still jiggle, it will firm up after chilling. Be careful not to overcook! DO NOT do a toothpick test in the cake's center, this will make a crack. Loosen the cheesecake from the sides of the pan by running a thin metal spatula around the inside rim. Let cool in the pan for 30 minutes

I have been making award winning Cheesecakes for a while now...it should be springy but still wiggly the center should be softer than the edges.
* a toothpick test is inaaporpriate for a cheese cake if it comes out clean you have probably burned it to a crisp*

Try moving it a bit, if it jiggles, it's not ready. It should be quite firm. If you don't have a tooth pick, you can do the same test using a small knife.

stick a toothpick in it...if it comes out clean then its done..

but you do not have anything so find a clean straw or anything that is like a tooth pick..i know i would just make some with a knife and a piece of clean wood.

it sounds like its done, you dont want the top hard or it may be dry and cool it slowly so the top doesnt crack.
