Between a shotgun and a SMG, I would want a SMG when doing MOUT work. While you say inside 25 yards when fighting house to house you also have down the street and across the court yard to worry about. So you either carry a full load of slugs to handle the long shots or need to get real good at select slug drills.

**** the shotgun! A light recoiling, compact, high ROF, automatic weapon would work wonderfully, as long as the tangos aren't wearing ANY armor. Not even class 1a. Within 25 yards shot pattern is going to be very tight, so no advantage there. A slug could kill by kinetic force through the armor, but if you miss, your opponent has got 20 rounds on you're *** before you can rack the shotgun again. If it was an automatic .410 shotgun, with at least 500 RPM, the recoil would be manageable, and the rounds would still carry a reasonable punch. But seeing as we are talking about a 12 gauge, ehhh.... It's not something I would choose.

Do you mean MSG? If so, MSG is monosodium glutamate, which is a flavor enhancer.

I'm not sure what SMG is... sorry!

I think you mean MSG--mono sodium glutamate. Some people have allergic reactions & headaches when eating foods with this flavor enhancer.
