It also needs to resemble Valentines Day. Any suggestions?

We just did this for Christmas with my daughter to sell in her econ class at school. We took some of the big rod pretzel and dipped them in melted chocolate and then sprinkled them with candy. You could try some of the valentine sprinkles in heart shapes or the pink, red and white pariels or the same color only in logs. We sold these for .40 a piece. They were a hit. We also covered some of them in broken up candy bar pieces or drizzled them with different color chocolates. Wilton now carries all kinds of colors of those chocolate discs to melt and use for candy projects. Hope this helps.

Charging kids for refreshments??? What is this world coming to? I imagine that there will be alot of kids sneaking out to the water fountain.

Something I thought would be cute for Valentines day is a cheap punch.

For every 4 litres of 7up or Sprite(or any lemon/lime soda) add about 1/4-1/2 gal of rasperry sherbert. The sherbert foams up and kinda tints the soda.

This is soooooo good, I found this on the net a year or two back and is really good and in keeping with the day...

2 quarts cranberry juice
3 cups canned unsweetened pineapple juice
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 quart cold ginger ale
1 pint raspberry sherbet

This is the recipe I found, however you can modify the ingredients a bit to taste...

you can forgo the sherbet if you like, I froze a couple of cups of the punch in heart shaped jello moulds and it looked really awesome, they have really cute silcone heartshaped moulds at some of the stores now, they would work awesome....

add some heart shaped shortbread cookies or white sugar cookies with a bit of white icing and a cinnamon heart on top of each and...done!

And quite inexpensively, I might add!
Good luck with your party!

Wow, there is so much you can do, here are a couple suggestions:

Make some popcorn using red & pink food coloring and put in valentines baggies or bags. You can mix some nuts, m&m's or other such things in with the popcorn.

For a cool treat - use a heart-shaped form and use to make jello hearts, put hearts into valentine cups.

For a drink I was thinking maybe a strawberry lemonade. You can get already made lemonade and put a bag of frozen strawberries in it. The lemonade will turn a soft pink which can be Valentines-ish.

Or maybe pink rice crispy treats and then you can cut them out into little hearts. Get Creative... :)

You could try switching the blue dye with red in this recipe.

Ruby Tuesday's Smurf Punch
1/2 C. Sprite or Ginger Ale
blue food coloring
whip cream
cherry
ice (optional)

Preparation:
In a tall glass, fill with ice, sprite or ginger ale, and add 2-3 drops of blue food coloring. Top with whipped cream and cherry.

Three Fruit Punch
6 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate
8oz. can crushed pineapple
10 oz. pkg frozen strawberries (thawed)
3 quarts of Ginger Ale
1 small packet of Kool Aid (flavored and colored to suit the occasion)

Put lemonade concentrate, pineapple and strawberries into a blender. Cover and blend until smooth. Pour Ginger Ale slowly over mixture in a punch bowl. Mix up a batch of Kool Aid and freeze it in a Jello mold. Float it in the center of the punch bowl. You can add strawberries or red fruit to the mixture to make it festive. For baby showers, you can make pink lemonade, or pink/blue Kool Aid and freeze it to use in the punch bowl

PUNCH
2 cups orange juice
2 cups lemon juice
2 cups grenadine syrup
3 quarts ginger ale
1 pint of quartered strawberries or sliced fruit in season.

Mix juices and syrup. Pour over block of ice to chill.
Just before serving, add the ginger ale and fruit.

Rice krispie treats always go over well and are inexpensive and easy to make. You can add a couple of drops of red food coloring to the marshmallow to make pink, or add more coloring to make them red. You can also use heart-shaped cookie cutters to match your theme.

Punch is also inexpensive and easy to make. Or pink lemonade. Or Cherry Kool-aid.

Check out Walmart. They have a store brand of Kool-aid that's VERY inexpensive. Get the cherry or the pink lemonade--or both!
