I am having 5 hungry adults and a kid over Saturday night and I need to fix something that everybody can eat on all night, but it needs to be cheap. I was thinking something like a big pot of soup or something in the crockpot. I have one person in the group that cant eat hamburger meat and I also do not have my oven working at the moment, so something in a skillet or crockpot please. Any ideas??? I am stumped. Thanks : )

I want to make my boyfriend some salsa. But we are long distance right now. So... whats the best way to send it? And will it go bad?

Also... if anyone has a recipe theyd like to share. I have my own, but I always like to expand. If its not too chunky and a good bit on the spicy side... I love it! (So does he). :)

Thanks!

Can you use Almond extract instead of Vanilla extract without ruining a recipe? I don't have vanilla extract for my cookies and i want to know if it is ok to use almond extract. I think i once read that it is stronger then vanilla extract.

I have REGULAR white flour and I really don't want to have to look for/buy "SPECIAL" flour just to make a loaf of bread! I just got a new bread machine and am really anxious to try it out....but I'd like to just be able to work w/what I've got in my kitchen already.

Anybody have a recipe that they've used themselves? Please don't send "links"....I've already done some searches....I'm looking for a recipe w/personal experience behind it!
