Can you use Almond extract instead of Vanilla extract without ruining a recipe? I don't have vanilla extract for my cookies and i want to know if it is ok to use almond extract. I think i once read that it is stronger then vanilla extract.

The taste is different, not very, but make sure you let any friends with nut allergies know the cookies have almond extract.

Sure. It will have the almond taste rather than vanilla. Since you are baking cookies, you may want to check out this recipe for snickerdoodles. They are a favorite.

You won't ruin the cookies but you will have almond cookes.

Always keep both extracts on hand....they are both delicious.

Sure. Go ahead. It won't be much of a difference. But I'm sure the cookies will still taste and smell delicious.

It just has a different flavor. It should be fine depends on the cookie.
