I was just told that we are going to be having friends over for dinner and im not really sure what to make for dinner. I'm having 3 adults, 2 teenagers, and 3 gradeschool age children. I know that some of the kids are picky eaters. What would be some ideas for safe dinner, that will please everybody?

Recently I saw a new recipe book by Pillsbury and I wanted to go get and it wasn't there. It was recipes for appetizers and deserts. For this season. They have a recipe that I would so much like to have. It is called Blueberry Pudding Pie. I they said you can top it off with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon. That is all I know but if you have the book and have the recipe can you please share it with me!! It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I just made up a recipe, and thought about getting a patent on it. But I want to make sure that I'm not copying off of anyone else. Even though I haven't seeing or heard of anyone doing this recipe. And how do I go about getting it patent, if it's original?

HELP! Me and my fiance live together now. And these few days we had fights because of food. I am already out of recipes that I know. So, he complain about my cooking. I feel bad because he feels depress after he eat my cooking. He works 12 hrs a day and he said that he always look forward for the foods that I serve for him after a long tiring day. And he said that if I really love him I should be willing to learn a better cook for him because it's a part of a family values ( a wife cook for her husband and kids ). I am a Filipino and he is mix Chinese and Vietnamese living in US. So, it's kinda hard. Please help me. Any cuisine will help.

What are a guy's favorite kind of cookies? I want to make some for my boyfriend for Christmas, and it has to do with personal tastes but I don't want to ask him. I might make shortbread as that is simple and mostly everyone (i think) loves shortbread cookies.

I'm 22 years old and just moved out on my own. My mother worked in the hospital full time and never really had a chance to show me how to cook. My father has been disabled for 20 years, so he was also unable to show me how to cook. I need simple but healthy ideas for a single person.

I am looking for some alternative side dishes for christmas dinner, BUT...the more "out of stove" recipes the better since we will also be cooking a ham!! And, If i could prepare anything a day ahead, the better!!

We usually have a potato (mashed potatos), Veggie (green bean casserole), and some sweet potatos (mashed too)...as you can see, it is pretty plain and we have almost the same thing on thanksgiving.

Also...nothing too fancy, we have some picky eaters!!

Any ideas within those areas??
