Try going to recipe sites online. I found that www.recipezaar.com is my favorite for a wide variety of foods that are usually easy to cook and taste wonderful. They have a rating system that gets the very best recipes to the top of the list! They are all uploaded by members. Just search for whatever you want (Chicken, for example) then click on Rating to sort the recipes. Look though them till you find one that looks good! You can even sort it by Cuisine to get chinese or vietnamese recipes when you want to do something special for him. Always read the user reviews so that you know if a lot of people have had a problem with a recipe, before you make it!

that's spelled KRAFTFOODS.
They even have instructions, and make it easy.
Ahh...you are entering the negotiation phase of your relationship. Perhaps you can negotiate that he cooks one day and you cook the next. That way you can learn his excellent cooking skills.
If he's a good person, he'll be glad to learn with you. Perhaps he may learn that it takes two to make a relationship and possible marriage.
It takes more than one complaining and one person feeling badly. If this is not resolved, you are giving that person control over how you look at yourself. We are not what we cook. We are people, and as such we have feelings. I don't think he knows that he's hurting your feelings, but he has a right to know this and I hope he asks you to forgive him for this mistake. I don't think he was born perfect, and neither is any other person.
You have a Right to a ROCKING RELATIONSHIP. Please take back control, and ask him to learn to cook with you so both of you can decide what nutritional meals you enjoy together, and which meals will be keepers, just like each other! Love is important, and kindness is very important.
GOD bless.

Yum, i invented my own Chilie Relleno Casserole. It is so flexable and you can do whatever you want...all you need is
A few cans of whole canned green chilies (found in mexican foods aisle) - i usually get 6 or 7 since i like a lot in the dish, they are not spicy.
Bagges shredded cheese (monty jack is best)
shredded chicken breast- i grill it and shredd it myself, but you can do whatever you want to get it shredded, or you can just cut it up!! (plain, spiced, OR i like to soak it in lime juice and TONS of cilantro)
Cilantro
Spanish rice- optional- (rice a roni makes this)
Bisquick - use about a cup and a half of powder, add an egg, add milk until it is the consistancy of cream.
Now just line the bottom of a casserole dish with the peppers (they spread out nicely) and start adding your layers however you want...i usually do peppers, some cheese, all chicken, more cheese, rice (optional), cheese and MORE cheese. Now take the bisquick mixture and pour on top and let soak through. Stick in a 350 degree oven and cook until the bisquick mix turns into "bread" and the top browns and VIOLA...yummy chilie relleno casserole.
Remember, you can do anything yo want...i sometimes spice the bisquick mix, sometimes i make the shredded chicked REALLY spicy!! Sometimes i use a can if DICED green chilies too and top with that...you cant get this wrong!!

hi ladylamp it sounds like you are willing to learn more but have just run out of ideas..One of the best ways I would go if I was you, go to a book store and look for recipes that would focus around you cultura and maybe try some other cook books while you are there; also look into you local schools sometimes they give adult classes for cooking and a lot of other information that may be helpful to you. I do want to give you this recipe ok........CASHEW PORK AND PEA PODS>>>1 pound of boneless pork>>1/2 cup orange juice>>1/4 cup orange marmalade>>2 tablespoon soy sauce >>1 tablespoon cornstarch>>1/2 teaspoon ground ginger >>1 tablespoon cooking oil >>2 cups fresh pea pods or 1 (6oz) package frozen pea pods,thawed>>2 medium peaches peeled, seeded, and cubed;1 small papaya, peeled, seeded, and cubed;2 medium nectarines, cubed( about 1 1/2 cups); or 1 1/2 cups frozen peach slices, thawed>>1/2 cup cashews or peanuts and hot cooked rice>>>>>>>>>Partially freeze meat then thinly slice across the grain into bite size strips. For the sauce combine the orange juice, orange marmalade, soy sauce, cornstarch and ginger and set aside. Pre heat a wok or large skillet over high heat add the cooking oil.(Add more oil during cooking as necessary) Add half the pork and stir fry 2-3 minutes or till no pink remains..Return all meat to wok/ skillet,Stir in pea pods, peaches, papaya, and nectraines..Push from the center and stir the sauce and pour into the center; cook and stir until thickened and bubbly..Cook and stir for 2 more minutes then add the cashews or peanuts( if you need to omit the nuts do so).Stir altogether until all the ingredients are coated with the sauce..Serve over rice>>>This is suppose to give you four servings..Good Luck and Happy Hoildays

My favourite recipe:
Marinate some chicken wings/drumsticks in chopped garlic and ginger, and soy sauce (add some water otherwise it would be really salty). Then roast with honey. This makes great finger food/starters/picnic food!
A quicker recipe:
Place some chicken breasts (1 per person) into an ovenproof dish with broccoli and carrots. Mix a can of Campbells chicken soup according to the label and stir in a pinch of curry powder, then add to the chicken and veg. Bake in the oven for 45mins to an hour on 190C. Serve with jacket potatoes. Yummy!
If he doesn't like these then tell him to cook his own dinner, the ungrateful sod!!!

Start with what kind of food does he like? Was his mom a good cook and what did she make him? If she is nearby or in for the holidays, see if she would teach you. If this is not an option, consider finding out what styles of food he likes and try taking some local hands on cooking classes.
Consider a subscription to Cuisine at Home magazine. Some of the larger book stores carry it. It has detailed pictures and can give you lots of tips to make you a better cook. Its sort of like having a cooking school with your at home.

The crockpot is your friend. Find a couple of crockpot/slowcooker cookbooks. It's so easy to toss in a soup, stew, chicken, pork, brisket, in the morning and forget about it. Then a green salad for dinner, maybe with one side dish.
I don't know if you work or not, but I'm retired and my husband still works. I use the crockpot 2-3 times a week, just so I have some time to myself or clean or run errands.
Just start reading recipes wherever you can. I learned from the Better Homes & Gardens cookbook, Betty Crocker cookbook, and a subscription to Bon Appetit.
The more you read and experiment, I bet he'll be knocked off his feet! :)

i've got self assurance the comparable way, as i do no longer provide out recipes the two...i like to think of of it this way..in case you have been a considerable food company with an exceptionally sturdy product, do you think of they could be publishing the recipe in a considerable newspaper for all to have....because of the fact of this considerable companies LOCK up all recipes or secrets and methods OR while making the product have distinctive factors of the recipe made at distinctive places or by employing distinctive businesses, so as that no person unearths out the recipe..i'm hoping this facilitates..

This is kind of a loaded question. Perhaps different cultures and upbringings (what is expected if one loves one another), differ. It saddens me that you are fighting about food. That being said, find out what his favorite foods/dishes are, and I'm sure people here will jump in and offer suggestions. I have many recipes I enjoy sharing, but not sure what your/his preferences are.
