One time when I was watching the Food Network I saw a program which featured a sandwich that I believe was a specialty of Kentucky. I think it was called a " hot brown " and I remember it had turkey and I think bacon and was served warm. Does anyone have a recipe? It looked totally fattening and bad for you, but really yummy so I would like to try making one. I live in Canada and I've never heard of a recipe, or seen it offered on a menu anywhere.

Is it just salmonella? I am doing a science project and I am testing the different ways to cook fish to see if foods like sashimi and ceviche are 100% OK to eat. I would appreciate any help!

I am about to fill the paper cups, but not sure how deep to make the batter? I was going to guess 1/2 the paper cup. Is that about right?

I had a wonderful cold potato salad (sweet or yam) today at our local casino, Mohegun Sun in CT. It had yams, apples, pineapple, nuts, parsley and marshmallow fluff in it, that I could tell. Would anyone have this recipe or one like it? It's sweet, cold and not sticky at all.

I attended a party once years ago where a couple brought a Winter squash soup cooked inside the squash. I believe it was a French recipe, and involved cream, cheese, croutons, and wine.

Unfortunately, my web searches aren't turning up any recipes for soups cooked (baked) in the squash itself.

My husband and I are invited to a Christmas Eve gathering at his Grandmothers house. She told us to bring a dish to pass around but I don't want to bring the boring meat and cheese or vegetable tray as I believe someone will bring that along.

I have a recipe for apple dumplings. One of the ingredients is the red hots candy we have had on the shelves for years. Now I cannot locate them.. Are the newer cinnamon discs, similar enought to use? Or do you have a source for this candy? This is mixed with other ingredients to make a sauce to cover the apples that are wrapped in dough.

Bought about 200 Lipton teabags and want to incorporate it in other foods around the house, and rice seems like a good Candidate. Have anyone heard of such thing? Worth trying? Anything extra I can add to spice it up without overly expensive?

Any other recipe I can try to use tea with, that have to do with meat? No dessert suggestion, please!

i have so much turkey left over that i used it in a recipe for chicken a la king. but it has a very salty taste. i am going to serve dinner in a half hour but i need to do something to get rid of the salty taste. i have tried extra milk and let it reduce but it is still too strong. im thinking about adding a bit of sugar but im not sure if that will really make it taste bad. please. any advice?
