i have so much turkey left over that i used it in a recipe for chicken a la king. but it has a very salty taste. i am going to serve dinner in a half hour but i need to do something to get rid of the salty taste. i have tried extra milk and let it reduce but it is still too strong. im thinking about adding a bit of sugar but im not sure if that will really make it taste bad. please. any advice?

Try adding some cut-up potato. It should absorb some of the salt. Your choice as to whether to serve the potato with the rest of the dish or not.

pinch of sugar sometimes the trick
cook a potato in to the sauce so it absorbs some of the salt
discard some liquid / sauce and add some water and more milk
sour cream also sometimes does the trick
