Hi,
It depends on what you are looking for. My Cook Club is hosting a cookie swap party and it's a lot fun. We get to bring home at least 10 to 20 different cookies. It's really fun and you get to taste so many cookies and recipes are usually shared.
I found this website that might help you decide on what cookie recipes you want to make.
http://allrecipes.com/Info/Baking/Cookies/Main.aspx

These are some of the BEST holiday cookies I ever made.
Spiced Gumdrop Cookies
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening (for that authentic grandma-cookie taste ;-)
1 egg
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cups spiced gumdrops, chopped
3/4 cup chopped walnuts (easily substituted for pecans, if you prefer)
1/2 cup raisins
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (about 210 C, if my math is to be trusted).
In a medium bowl, mix the brown sugar and shortening. Stir in egg and buttermilk.
Mix together the flour, baking soda and salt, add to the creamed mixture, and mix until well blended.
Add in the chopped gumdrops, walnuts and raisins. Cover the bowl, and throw it in the fridge for about an hour.
Place the cookies onto a VERY lightly greased cookie sheet; each cookie should be about a spoonful of dough, give or take.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. These must be allowed to cool, as the gumdrop bits tend to get rather hot in the oven.

In a large bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in the milk and vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, stir into the creamed mixture. Using a wooden spoon, stir in the rolled oats, chocolate chips and walnuts.
Roll the dough into walnut sized balls, and place 2 inches apart on an unprepared cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool cookies on wire racks.
