I'm looking for information about traditional British food like Lancashire Hotpot. I also want to find out about more obscure regional dishes - where they come from, how they are made, their history etc.

Not worried about the health aspects, just which is better for which recipes. I'm frying potatoes (hashbrowns) and the real butter didn't seem to do so well. Also, many people say "butter" but really mean margarine. How do you know which is right for different recipes?

Now's that time of year (at least in Michigan) where nothing sounds better than coming home to a nice warm meal. Please give me some quick, easy to put together crock pot recipies. Chicken, beef, pork.........I love it all.

I'm looking for a tried and true recipe that does not contain can soup. I have searched the net and I keep coming up w/ the same things. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I need suggestions for something tasty to make for dessert.

I'm cooking dinner for my new neighbor guy on Saturday, and I want to make something for dessert, but I don't want it to be totally obvious that I'm trying to impress him.

I am serving homemade spaghetti, green salad, and garlic bread and I have no idea what kind of dessert to make.

Any suggestions you guys have will be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know of an easy recipe for a blueberry cheesecake? I have the cream cheese, blueberry filling, and the pie shell. My question is.... What else do I add to make the cheesecake? I have never made one from scratch before. I have only done the ones you buy in the box made by JELL-O. I would like to surprise my little 7 year old daughter with it for dessert after supper tonight.
Thank you in advance for all the help.

I am having an adult halloween party on Satuday night and am looking for some fairly easy GOOD snacks/appetizers for it. I don't want anything to cheesy (no pun intended :) as it is kind of a spooky theme. Thanks in advance!

Okay, we like to eat healthy, and sometimes low carb too. And I like meals that take no longer than 30 minutes....

I can't think! My husband is going to Trader Joe's today and I have been in a food rut for quite some time now! I'm tired of making crockpot chicken. I'm tired of eggs. I'm tired of opening a can of soup or bag of orange chicken help!

Any ideas?

I recently got a new crockpot, but I have found it hard to use. I'll follow a recipe to a T, but my food comes out 'dry'. My manhatten clam chowder came out VERY thick, so much so it would be a strech to call it soup. With my cabbage stew, I ended up with no broth. I don't know if maybe it's tempurature setting are too high, or what. Any ideas?
